Carli and Maria made us really welcome at their fabulous chalet. It was a perfect place for 7 of us walking the Camino, with all the facilities we needed to recharge, and it can easilyaccommodate 10. The location is very peaceful, a 2km walk from Itziar, but Carli offered to pick us up had we needed. We bought provisions in town and cooked our own meal, perfect, with everything we needed in the kitchen. Stunning views in a tranquil setting, the name says it all!

Staff were very helpful ( and spoke English). The room was very comfortable and having a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities was a bonus. The mini bar drinks were much appreciated at the end of a day of walking the Camino. Highly recommend .

The apartment was exceptionally clean & spacious, comfy beds and in the centre of the village. Although we didn’t use them as our stay was only overnight & quite rushed, the host left essentials i.e. coffee, milk & a few slices of bread etc which would have been really useful. Communication was excellent. Check in was excellent. Parking was easy. All in all, it couldn’t have been any better.

Lovely building, excellent breakfast and dinner. Great facilities. Incredible attention to detail. Comfortable beds. Lovely outside spaces. Very quiet. Loads of animals! On our arrival we opted for a glass of wine before a lovely vegan and gluten free dinner. A nice breakfast the following morning before departing for Bilbao. Matteo couldn’t have been more helpful. Him being Italian was an added bonus for me to be able to practice my Italian. He actually speaks very good Spanish and English too. Wonderful

Location is impossible to beat. The ocean views of the Cantabric when you wake up (you can see them from bed) are one of the best views you can ever get. Euskadi has a place in my heart and Haitzalde has one too.
