We met the property manager at his office and he walked us to the apartment, 5 mins away, he pointed out useful places such as the bus/train/taxi station near the apartment. The accommodation is spacious, very clean, everything you need to self cater, modern kitchen, powerful shower, lots of towels, washing machine and wonderful terraces to front and back. The hot weather and heat was powerful during our visit and the air com in the apartment provided a cool haven. In the area there is a selection of small super markets, bars, cafes and the train station provides a fast train to Barcelona. It is a vibrant, diverse neighbourhood, lots of children playing and sitting having a good coffee was entertaining. We were surprised how quiet it was for sleeping. The new town is around 15 mins walk and a bit more for the old town, which is very historical and interesting. Girona is a bustling place, lots of shops in the new town and craft shops in the old town, with small interesting places to eat on the cobbles. Near the apartment, we really liked a local Condis store (bit like a one stop) it has fresh flowers outside and really nice produce inside making it easy to serve a good meal in the apartment, which has a terrace directly outside the kitchen with table and chairs. Great for breakfast at home too. The "flower" Condis is beside a café/bar called Venecia, 3 mins walk from the apartment, they do a good lunch and simple tapas at night, great coffee. Easy to buy fresh fruit locally too. We were very happy with our accommodation and it was perfect for a mature couple, a lift directly to our front door, we were on the top floor (4 floor building) so had a great view from the kitchen terrace, watching the sun set. We did not have a car but there is underground parking, we didn't hear our neighbours at all. The WFI connection is excellent too.

Very spacious apartment with all amenities, quiet residential area, great place for a quiet stay. An enjoyable walk to the old city, approx 40mins or so. Really close to the train and bus station, which made it easy to visit Lloret De Mar by bus, highly recommend doing this if you are looking to get some beach time in the warm months. Supermarket located outside the entrance of the property for any convenience needs.

Location of hotel is some 10-15 mins walking from centre of town or railway station (expect to pay ~7€ for taxi from station) in an unattractive area devoid of food options but makes up for comfort, cleanliness and services. At the time prices closer to town were 30% more. Staff were very helpful and accommodating.
