Highlights were the meals, the restored, high ceiling rooms, the compact Common Bath and the helpful staff (for baggage forwarding). Also the underfloor heating of the wooden floors means it's the best location for cold weather touring. Plus the central courtyard of the hotel looks up at the Takeda Castle Ruins which are lit at night. Also the pre-dinner drinks buffet is a nice treat to sample the local sake and seasonal fruit liquors.

We stayed for just about two weeks, while we visited a family member living in the area. During our stay, the service from the entire staff was wonderful. We especially appreciated their patience with us as we navigated communicating with them by using apps, etc. Our room was very well equipped - it was small, but we expected that so it was no problem whatsoever. The facilities (our room, common areas, dining area) were very well maintained and very clean. The breakfast included many options, both Japanese and Western food, and was consistently prepared and delicious! The walk to the train station is about 10 minutes, easy to navigate, so from our perspective the location was excellent.
