Shimobe Hotel displayed exceptionally friendly and accommodating service for English speakers. The rooms are wonderful and clean and the multiple hot springs are beautiful to experience. This place is a hidden gem. Beautiful and rare location. Wonderful food. Staff so sincere and helpful. Love this place so much we came from overseas visited it twice in less than four months. Must stay at least two nights.

Everything! Starting from the huge room with a view to the fuji mountain, the clean common areas and the surroundings. The staff (Hanna!) was just lovely. The kitchen is big and you can prepare all meals. It’s not far from supermarkets and onsens too (with a car).

Everything was amazing!! We checked-in early evening and were welcomed with cold tea and a delicious homemade dessert. The hosts were both very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were perfect as we had an amazing view of Mt. Fuji. They also recommended a delicious restaurant where they dropped us off and picked us up later. They offered breakfast which was the best with a good ambiance music. This is definitely the best place we have stayed in Japan! Thank you for everything!

The area is secluded (quiet) but can be easily reached via car or bus if commuting. The house is newly renovated and it’s a traditional japanese home. The property is complete with necessities and there is a nearby convenience store in case you forgot any. Our hosts are the best, they are very kind and sweet. We had a great dinner with them and had a good laugh. It was the best stay we ever had!
