Svingen Guesthouse is in a most marvelous location right by the fjord. Nearly all common rooms - of which there are quite a few - give you a view of the fjord and the mountains. It is quiet, peaceful and relaxing. I wish we could have stayed longer! Next time I hope. The house is kept meticulously clean and has a lot of charm with its unique furnishings. A highly recommended place!

Whatever I write will be actually very less about this property. It is located on the center of Flam, absolutely just stone throwing distance from everything. The host was amazing and even allowed us to checkin before 3 pm. So you have to collect the keys from the souvenir store below. The view from the balcony was too good and actually you can see everything what is going on in Flam. The space inside the apart was perfect for 5 adults with enough sitting space and for cooking and dining.

We loved the location and the house itself. The apartment was very modern and stylish with everything we could wish for, such as fully equipped kitchen with stovetop, oven, microwave oven, dishwasher and coffee machine. The bathroom even had a washing machine. Everything was cleaned spotless and tidy. If we could, we would rate Grandma’s house even higher and would recommend it to anyone who wants a private apartment in great surroundings!
