The view was fantastic, the outdoor wood-fire hottub was exactly what I was looking for, and the house was very cozy and warm. The local produce for breakfast was lovely, and the Sable felt like such a personal touch. Coincidentally, my partner and I shared a bottle by a bonfire on our very first date!

Location, location, location: We had looked for a combination of hotel and winery in walking distance to each other, and this one ticked all the boxes: you can easily walk over to Chateau Tanunda in about 15mins (and others are walkable too, if you don't mind walking 30-40mins). The hotel is part of a pub/restaurant - but the rooms are really surprising: completely new, with a rain shower, quite spacious and quiet (this being a Monday maybe, could be louder on a Friday evening). We also enjoyed the restaurant and a glass of wine on the front porch. There's ample parking in the back. Didn't see any breakfast options, but this was rare on our trip anyways - there's a bakery nearby to help you out.

We stayed in Kates Cottage for 4 nights. Very cute, clean and very comfortable. Excellent kitchen and bathroom amenities. Amazing bed and linen - bed very comfortable. Awesome location for Barossa area and good parking. Excellent Wi-Fi. Safe area and very quiet. Wide range of breakfast options. Good host communication. Easy to access property. Clothes washing facility available. We could not fault and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful, renovated, heritage, building with everything we needed for a few days in the Barrosa. Comfortable bed, generous breakfast supplies and a short walk from restaurants and cafes in Tanunda. We really enjoyed our stay.

Gone to Barossa ligger ca. 48 km fra Big Rocking Horse og har udsigt til en have og en terrasse. Dette feriehus har en have, grill, gratis wi-fi og gratis privat parkering. A fantastic property, with all you could ask for - comfy beds, easy parking, quiet, well appointed kitchen and a lovely host (who even brought us back an extra baking dish!). Would definitely stay here again!

Lovely country location within easy reach in a car to surrounding towns. Homestead style property as shown in the photographs. Hosts very friendly, but do not impose.

Lovely old homestead on outskirts of town with beautiful views over open country. Rooms have separate sleeping and sitting areas. Bread, cereal and milk (etc) provided for breakfast. No sink, only a plastic bowl (not easy to find): tricky to fill kettle and bowl from tap in bathroom basin. A wonderful base for exploring the Barossa Valley.
