As the name suggests, The accomodation is located in a very convenient central part of the city. Many fairly priced restaurants around, and if you want to splurge, there are some upper-market cafes a short walking distance also. And as a cherry on the cake, there are some great views of a nearby, frequently erupting volcano Rosa, the host, goes above and beyond making sure you feel welcome, comfortable, and are armed with enough knowledge to get the most out of her city. I originally stayed here as a stop over town to break up my travels. But ended up staying a little longer because I enjoyed it so much.

We loved our time at this hostel, the hostst are very helpfull and kind. Our private lodge was comfortable, well-equipped, and had everything we needed. The big highlight: their strong focus on sustainability. The place is largely self-sufficient and run with real care for the environment. Bonus: they have two super friendly dogs that made us feel right at home. Highly recommended!

Extremely beautiful property and one of the nicest accomodations I've stayed in an Ecuador, let alone in the middle of the jungle. Spent most evenings jumping in the river and swimming just a minute walk down the stairs to the bank. Well located, very close to town, good WiFi, extremely clean, 5 star facilities

The unit is comfortable, light and airy. The aesthetic inside is white, clean and northern/Scandinavian. The whole unit -- bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette and patio -- feels brand new. It's attached to the main house but has its own entrance and faces away from the main house at 90 degrees, toward the garden, so feels private. The large patio has views onto the garden and jungly nature. The location is pretty and peaceful, just outside the town of Tena ('the gateway to the Amazon'). It's a large, green lot surrounded by trees and exotic birds such as oropendolas. With the directions that Alex provided, it was easy to find. You turn off the road and drive up a small lane. There's a large gate into the property, and a parking space for guests within the gated area. There are three friendly dogs, plus active roosters and chickens. The German hosts, Alex and Christiane, are very friendly and speak excellent English. Christiane prepared a fantastic breakfast ($6 extra), with fresh-baked rolls, fresh local fruit, dried meats, cheese, nuts, and fried eggs. Also gingerbread (it was Christmas). It's probably the best breakfast we've ever had at an Airbnb. Really exceptional. There was also a bodum with pre-ground coffee in the kitchenette. We'll definitely return the next time we're in Tena. Thanks, Alex and Christiane!

Have to tell that this is the best place in the town. Here is like another reality - green oasis in the city. Owners are very nice and huge bonus - they both speak English. Very helpfull young couple. Prepared excellent dinner too. Helped to find tour to jungles. Were opened that we spend our free time here before night bus. Recommend!
