B&B Cuenca is set on the banks of the river Júcar, 5 minutes’ drive from Cuenca’s old town and famous Hanging Houses. This charming property offers rooms with free Wi-Fi. The receptionist was very kind and helpful; the location is perfect for a walk to the centre or to start a trip to Ciudad Encantada; breakfast was appropriate (toast, egg, coffee, home-made juice and cake, marmelade), very good price value.

What a magical place, just a short ride from Cuenca. You get your own separate “pod”—a spacious, comfortable and immaculate room with sliding doors onto your own patio and a private view of the expanse. Breakfast is delivered to your room in a beautiful basket laden with delicious croissants, fruit, cheese, etc. The bathroom is modern and luxurious: an extra perk is the shower gel that’s scented with honey and local flowers. All of the staff are welcoming. Overall, a charming and unique accommodation.

I picked up the keys at a tiny mercado, which was near to a slightly bigger one, which I went to first. They were kind at both places and helped straighten me out. The place was very cute and had way more than I needed for one night alone. Because it was so hot, I ended up sleeping on the futon in the living room where the A/C is. It was actually very comfy. I spent most of the next day in Cuenca, and they let me store my bags at the mercado. And then, despite a language barrier, they helped me call a taxi when I was struggling to call one. I felt very taken care of on my first solo overnight anywhere in Europe.

A modern, ultra clean repurposed wine cooperative that is more than a hotel. The food is of the highest quality at a very reasonable price. We ended up turning it into our base for exploring the region for 4 days! All the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating and generous. And they allowed us to park our motorcycles behind the building in a locked up area at no cost. Make it a destination and you won’t be disappointed.

The host was very accommodating, allowing flexibility with check-in and check-out and was able to provide a baby cot for my daughter.
