The room was very beautiful & modern looking with lots of amenities. Staff was very friendly and showed us around the property and explained to us everything we needed to know. The beautiful garden near the reception was freely accessible with a place for small fireworks. The surrounding area was very peaceful in the evening but lively and full of interesting shops and restaurants during the day.

Wonderful rental property on a historic street in a quiet town, and a unique opportunity to stay in a traditional Machiya townhouse. It's the kind of experience that you come to Japan for, sleeping on futon in a tatami mat room, experiencing small town village life. The house has been beautifully restored and has everything you need. The host, who I never actually met in person, offered helpful restaurant recommendations and assistance making reservations, in addition to very detailed instructions on getting to the property from the train station by public bus. The toilet and bath is located in a separate building, which is a bit inconvenient in the middle of the night, but also contributes to the unique experience. I loved my stay here.

We loved our stay at hotel koo. It was the perfect combination between japanese traditional house and modern scandinave touch. We felt so at peace in this room, a perfect moment of relaxation. The Guesthouse En was an beautiful stay, one of the highlights of our trips. It was so clean,had all the beautiful traditional Japanese home touches and provided important mod cons. The host was incredible and went out of his way to help us make the most out of our stay. Highly recommend and would go back!
