We really felt at home at Dina's and Lorenzo's place. They did everything to make us feel comfortable and welcome, gave us enormous information about what to do in the surroundings (hikes, thermal baths, organizational stuff too) and were present when we had questions avout anything. The rooms were very clean, the kitchen very well equipped and the view from the terrace towards the mountains around Caraz stunning. The local market (great) is only 10 min by feet, though, in case of some forgotten needs, there are three bodegas within 2-3 min distance.

Beautiful terrace, well-equipped kitchen and super friendly staff. I would recommend booking tours through the hotel - we had good experiences with both tours (Churup & Santa Cruz).

Everything was as described, and as in photos. The beds are really large. Worth its price 100%. The only minus is the noise outside. Unfortunately we heard the traffic on the 6 floor in the morning.

Our stay at Cordillera was great. The hotel was clean, modern and the bed was comfortable. The location of the hotel was in a nice quiet area so it wasn’t noisy at night. The staff were friendly and very welcoming and helped us with everything we needed. We chose to do our hike privately and not with a group tour and Edisson (reception staff) helped us organise the private taxi the day before with no issues. We also left very early one morning at 5am for one of our hikes and the hotel organised a packed lunch for us as we were going to miss breakfast. If you are staying in Huarez, i highly recommend this hotel!

after two weeks i can say that this place feels like home. carolina and her family are warm, welcoming and create a very loving atmosphere, so it's easy to talk to people and make connections. showers were hot, beds comfortable, rooms clean and the breakfasts a daily highlight. i honestly can't wait to come back. thanks carolina, paul, anita & álvaro!
