The rooms are clean, especially the washroom and there’s a shared balcony thing where we got to have breakfast and it’s so peaceful in the morning. And they have these adorable cats and free water refill station. And the family that runs it are very welcoming. I would really recommend staying the night here to really enjoy jiufen at night see all the beautiful lanterns glowing without the crowds!

Free coffee and tea, and a small basket of snacks/instant noodles you’re welcome to take from. The owner is kind and even brought us breakfast an hour before we were set to leave, etc.

At the homestay, each unit includes bed linen and towels. The man who checked us in was very pleasant and friendly! We didn't know each other's languages but he made every effort to explain things and give local recommendations. The rooms were really clean, spacious, great water pressure. It was a great location too, being only a 5 minutes walk to the Jiufen Old Street and has a very scenic view of the mountains and coast. We were also very happy we could park in front of the hotel.
