We were welcomed warmly after a long and tiring trip in unfamiliar territory, both by the host , Mr Ducati, ( the cat) and his human assistant.
After pointing out the many ' home away from home' facilities,
the host kindly helped us out with finding a place to eat very close by.
The bed was so comfortable and ensured an excellent rest in preparation for the next day's driving.
We were travelling with our neurodiverse grandchild and it was great that we were not rushed out in the morning, especially as the generous and extensive breakfast supplies encourage a relaxed start to the day.
We particularly respect how environmentally conscious the hosts are and encourage the guests to be, as it is something we are very passionate about.

Ours was an overnight stay to enable my wife, daughter and self to take part, at a local Church, in a family funeral. After hours arrival was excellently covered and departure was swiftly handled with a smile. A very pleasant experience, considering the circumstances.

Such a nice motel! Very clean and comfortable, outfitted with little touches to make you feel more comfortable. Everything you need for a hot beverage. They even accommodated our late check in, which was super helpful. We really enjoyed our stay, highly recommend.

The staff and food were exceptional. Such gorgeous people! It was as though they were looking after their extended family! The food was absolutely delicious, too.

We have relatives living there hence the stop but the hotel is undergoing renovations and the accommodation is a bit dated but clean with a comfortable bed.... the service was great and the hotel side very modern with a great bistro.

The property does not deserve a 8.1 rating. Could not use the shower or the air conditioner due to there below poor condition, including foul smell. Beds were terrible. Motel was cramped with terrible parking. It was a very unpleasant stay, we couldn’t wait to leave.

Stop the people drinking & smoking in groups outside their room entrances, not backing in utes to sit on back & booze & smoke, should have assigned area for that not close to next units entrance. Have been coming to same motel for 20 years & always been good, but really needs some control, should not have to wade past groups of drinkers to get to your car & door.

The location was a positive as we were just passing through...
The location was a positive as we were just passing through on a long road trip and the property was just off the freeway which is what we were looking for. The kitchen was well equipt with utensils etc. The main bedroom was reasonably comfortable. My husband spoke with the hosts and he said they were very friendly.
I have to say the property has the making of a nice little place but it is looking a bit tired and run down. It smelt a bit musty and the decor made it feel quite dark. The grounds look like they need a bit of TLC as well. While I liked the fact there were fresh eggs from the resident chickens and there is an intention to be waste conscious (with bins etc for food scraps and recycling etc) there were no bin bags for general rubbish. This and the limitations on the general cleaning I think has lead to a pest issue (we saw A LOT of cockroaches! I am aware that it is summer season and a few cockroaches are inevitable but there were far more than the average). The bed linen I will add was clean and overall it was an OK place for a one night stay but we were keen to move on quickly. I dont like to be negative but I do wish that I had known about some of the above points prior - although there was no mention of cleanliness issues or cockroaches in other reviews it was our experience. So felt I should share with others.

Great shower, and that is where it stops, massive gap under the door let's cold in and dust only a small hand broom to go over the floor it was so gritty to walk on blinds don't fit properly so cannot keep the light out plus when it's windy they swing so light dark light dark and only 1 thin blanket to keep warm noisy heating overall would not stay again

its a great beach area with long beach that you can walk on for hours and then you have the lake over the other side. It has a nice cafe on the beach and a cute little shopping centre with IGA etc.
The people are very friendly and i felt very safe and welcome in the area. The RSL has good food and the people there were also very nice. I highly recommend Stockton for a family or couple holiday.

We loved Sir Francis Drake accommodation the best and all its facilities. We also loved going to woollies as it was just 4minutes away. We enjoyed the hotel food and a few take aways from KFC AND MACDONALDS which was just across the road. we found it easy to get around as we have our car, however getting a taxi is just a call away, but Didi was a bit difficult to get.
