We arrived at the airport in the afternoon and had to leave from the airport again early the next morning - this accommodation was perfect for our situation. The free shuttle picked us up from the airport and dropped us back at 3am the next day. The staff member who picked us up and checked us in was very helpful and very nice, even helping us order delivery dinner due to a language barrier. I was very impressed with the service here.

We like to stay here when we fly to SJO because it’s one of the last pick up locations for the Puerto Viejo shuttle, so it saves us up to an hour on the shuttle. They have a good breakfast with many options, the hotel is large and pleasant, and the staff is very nice. We’ve seen National Geographic tour people there, so it’s good enough for them too. We recommend it to friends flying in and shuttling to visit us on the southern Caribbean side.

Excellent location -- adjacent to the University of Costa Rica campus and not far from the SJO airport. The hotel is attractive, nicely decorated and displaying interesting collections of curios. The included breakfast was very good; particularly enjoyed the fresh fruit, good cheese and fruit juice. The 24-hr coffee machine in the reception area was a very nice touch.

Beautiful, brand new hotel with modern finishings and very helpful staff. We stayed here one night after flying into SJO. The nearby food court had a few good late night food options (til 10pm), which was convenient. The hotel food sounded great as well but we were looking for something less pricey.
