The room was super clean and tidy, and as a bonus we were also invited to get some snacks and drinks in the fridge in our room, which was a lovely touch. We didn't stay too long since we had to leave early in the morning, but the location and the house were really nice! The bathroom was also very clean and spacious and the tub relaxing after a day of walking. We usually avoid places where we share space with the owners due to wanting our privacy, but apart from us being in a different part of the property, the hosts seemed to respect their guests privacy and it wasn't a problem for us at all! Also, for people travelling, the place is super close to the airport.

This 3-star hotel offers comfortable accommodations and free, on-site parking in Holzwickede, just a 10-minute walk from the train station Holzwickede and 0.9 miles from Dortmund Airport. If you have come across bad reviews of this hotel, it is for you that I am taking some time to write this review, and I hope it doesn't sound as if I work for them. I just think this hotel deserves justice. Before staying, I had read a couple of terrible reviews online, but as there were no other hotels available in the area, I ended up booking there, and I'm glad I did! Most complaints I had read revolved around: no English speaking staff; uncleanliness; loudness around the room. I came in not expecting much, but I was really, positively, surprised during my stay. As I arrived, there was a friendly man in the reception who spoke with me in good English. As I gave my name, he referred me to my room, which was surprisingly clean and comfortable. Bed sheets and towels all seemed to be fresh and the room was as quiet as it could be. To sum up: I had an amazing stay at this hotel at a very affordable price. I'm not sure sure why there are a couple of bad reviews there, but I would assume those are old and management has read through the comments and done a really good job in fixing whatever needed fixing. Overall an amazing experience to me
