The best thing about Champollion II (from Aswan to Luxor) was the wonderful, hospitable and warm staff who really treated us like family, and catered to our every need! The boat itself was a beauty, with beautiful interiors, shops, a gorgeous roof deck with a pool and jacuzzi, and a spacious seating area. We have to mention that everyone, from the check-in staff, managers, assistant managers, chef, and every single staff member was always eager to help and really made our stay comfortable, happy and a memorable one. Mr. Ashraf, the boat manager, and also his assistant manager were exceptionally helpful, as well as Mohamed at the reception. The executive Chef Mr. Said Amin was most hospitable and ensured we had lovely lunches and dinners. What made this trip even more spectacular was Mr. Tamer, our incredibly knowledgeable, affable, and always-positive egyptologist tour guide. He went out of his way to arrange every tour for us including all permits and transport to Abu Simbel (which is not to be missed) which was a long way from Aswan, and due to him, we had a seamless journey and experience there. Every site and ancient wonder of Egypt was brought to life in the present by Mr. Tamer and his generous knowledge of and love for his country, Egypt. My mum and I were lucky to have him as a guide throughout our stay in southern Egypt through Champollion. He even helped us buy a cartouche and papyrus works from well-known and authentic places, without any motive for himself, but just out of a desire to help and ensure that we had the most memorable experience in Egypt. Our trip would not have been half the fun and full of good memories had it not been for Tamer and everyone at Champollion. A BIG THANK YOU, and we will surely be recommending this trip to our friends and family, and hope to be back!
