Thought we were going to a lodge but on arrival we were shown the lodge carpets were up and beds in lodge were separated and moved to 1 side and we were given a family room. No wardrobe just what u see in the picture below to hang things up. The lodge/ hotel shouldn't be opened it isn't up to standard that people see on your website. Radiator coming away from the wall. Curtains stained, kettle and t-spoons stained. Bathroom door u couldn't lock. Ower bought us drink as he didn't have any drinks on tap. Views out our room window wasn't great in photos below. Staff very nice but the place is needing a lot of TLC.
Prestwick is a clean town with a very good selection of shops, cafes, pubs, hotel accommodation, holiday flats , churches and the people are very friendly and helpful. It also has a great beach and promenade with good soft clean sand which has two cafes to sit at and have an ice cream etc. There is also a grass area beside the promenade which is great for adults and, children to have a picnic or to sunbathe. Prestwick also has a lovely park and play area for children close to the town centre. It’s also very close to Prestwick Airport for travellers and a few minutes drive to Troon and Ayr.. If you are a golfer Prestwick has great golf courses also. All round it’s a lovely town with all the amenities you need for a great comfortable and enjoyable holiday or place to live.. Excellent!!
-good value ;comfortable .good choice of reasonably priced evening meals .large and well furnished room.large bathroom with plenty of hot water tv but no remote -we didnt want to watch anyway .nice outside seating areas .friendly staff
We just went initially to watch planes at preswick airport. That was amazing seeing military and other aircraft coming in and taking off. But I loved the overall fact that it’s the only place Elvis came to in the UK. and we stayed at the adamton hotel where, Elvis went and made a call to Priscilla, prior to them getting married xx there are a lot of shops. But not a lot of local ones x
wit is to far you really need to have a car.The worst place to be if you have major walking difficulties like me.It was supposed to be within easy reach of local transport which it clearly was not.
