We experienced true hospitality during our holiday! The resort is beautiful, with amazing views both from the rooms as well as the common spaces and pools.
Most members of the staff were warm hearted and genuinely took good care of us! Checking was breeze, the front desk staff arranged things while we enjoyed refreshments (they even upgraded us without asking - recognizing that we were regular Marriott Bonvoy customers). When we went off the property the arranged our visit including the taxi back.
The team at breakfast was amazing!! Agyro welcomed us with a smile and made sure we had reservations for dinner and even gave us recommendations if we were going off the property. Elsa and Aggeliki were especially sweet to our son going above and beyond!
They have 3 pools 1 for adults, 1 shallow pool for babies and 1 for families. They also have direct access to the Aegean sea with beds looking onto the sea. At the poolside Chrsitina was especially helpful and took special care of our son.
Last but not the least Manos the director of operations was ever present and made sure that our stay was awesome!

Here is the joy of living in a small traditional village. You will need a car. There are great tavernas and bars close by. The views across Souda Bay and the mountain areas just call you to come back.
But then I just love the filoxenia of Greece. I made contact with several older community people. Very precious. And then there’s the cats. If you love cats you will be in your element.

A good base for a holiday in a residential area but you really need a car, as apart from a small supermarket, there was nothing else within easy walking distance (beaches, restaurants etc). With a car we had access to many beaches and to Chania, although we quickly reverted to using taxis for trips to Chania as paring there was nigh on impossible both during the day and evening.
We ate in lots of different restaurants - all fairy good ( we based our choice on reviews) For evening meals, we found by booking a day in advance we could request a table at the front, which meant we enjoyed some fabulous sunsets with our meals.

If you are looking for a place with a nice and modern design...
If you are looking for a place with a nice and modern design (somewhat minimalistic), convenience, comfort, not imposing, rather accommodating, with a host that cares, proximity to the beaches of your choice (whether you want sand beaches for your kid, or secluded rocky grows for you to enjoy in privacy - you have it all. There are few nice restaurants with modest choice (something you expect from Cretan cuisine) - you have it a few steps down. You don't ask for more)

We loved this location.
We loved this location. If we went to the right, we were into the country where there were several little villages and beaches including Stavros beach (famous for the filming of Zorba the Greek) but also had some ruins on site. Nice beach for swimming and sunning. If you go to the left, you head back towards Chania and the other amazing beach and the charming Chania Old Town. We loved it there, as well. Lots of beautiful gifts to buy, clothes, shoes, restaurants, etc. All paved roads.

There are two places I highly recommend for eating.
There are two places I highly recommend for eating.
One is a restaurant called Arodou Restaurant, and the other is Znkag Bakery & Pastry (sorry, I’m not sure how to spell it in Greek).
Both are very close to Anton’s Home.

Close to all most important areas and lots of places of interest - restaurants and bars 15 min by car away RECOMMENDED rent a car - not pedestrian friendly - also very hilly areas (as mostly everywhere on the island) the car will permit you to access lots of different areas

It was very tranquil but the beach area was perfect....not very large but very sandy so easy to swim from and seemed safe for children...more fish than we thought. Beach bar was low key but just perfect. The local restaurant was a lovely setting, the staff were enthusiastic and nice and we enjoyed the evening there even though the food was not outstanding. Further up the to main road are more restaurants. Irenes had rave reviews but have to say we were most disappointed - again nice staff but chaos as food came all at different times and rather chaotic 0 can be charming as in holidays but this was taken to the limit. Everyone we met were lovely and most hospitable

This is the perfect holiday location.
This is the perfect holiday location. Lovely villa, great sized pool (with toddler area) and a 2 minute walk from Loutraki beach. The beach is sandy and shallow. The sea was warm and crystal clear. We stayed in the six bedroom villa which is actually two apartments on top of each other. So we had two kitchens and living areas, great for a big group. The outdoor space is lovely and the views from the balcony are beautiful. A car is needed as there are no shops close by (5 min drive to supermarket). There is another beach a short drive away which is nice and has paddle boarding and jet skis for hire but we liked Loutraki beach best. It is quieter and has a great beach bar with plenty of loungers. Great holiday!!

About 4 places to eat in Chorafakia of which we ate in 2 and both were very goods especially Irene Taverna & restaurant
The beach at Tersernas Beach is lovely and the water very clear with a lovely sandy beach
