We very much enjoyed are stay in are accommodation near Shannon Airport, we wasn't expecting it to be so lovely at Carrygerry Country House Hotel. It only took 12 minutes to drive to it from the airport and nicely welcomed at the door by Gillian and shown to are room. Shannon airport, easy to park, easy to get too by car.

We flew in to Shannon from London & used it as jumping...
We flew in to Shannon from London & used it as jumping off point to other areas in & south of Shannon. Convenient location. People we encountered were very friendly there, & really everywhere we went over our 4 days on the island.

Airport is so efficient and staff are professional .Security is done so efficiently, a really painless experience and so much better that other airports. The local road system is a joy and well signposted. Our stay at Oakwood hotel was just lovely and staff were really great, always available and ultra helpful. The hotel was peaceful, comfortable and food of excellent quality.

Shannon airport is a hidden gem of a flying experience.
Shannon airport is a hidden gem of a flying experience. I highly recommend you use Shannon as your airport, especially for a holiday on Ireland's west coast. If you don't want to drive, it is well connected via bus to Galway or to Limerick, which has connections to everywhere else in Ireland via bus and train. If you do want to drive, you probably don't want to stay right in Shannon, but there is something for everyone nearby.

the things that were wrong were fixed but there is still some confusion about the payment. I think we will get this right soon. perhaps delete the previous review and perhaps I just won't put one up which I think is better.

The room was freezing (as we're others) , the staff unhelpful and an unapologetic manager. Couldn't manage to get my rewards without multiple visits to reception (at least two other guests gave up) and got slapped by a 25euro charge for checking in an hour early .

It is a short ride to the SNN airport. Restful surroundings in the country. Famous for their breakfasts and dinners. Dining room heavenly. Small but relaxing bar. Larger social room for special occasions. Going back here whenever I fly in or out of SNN.

The Studio apartment near Shannon Airport is a fantastic spot to use as a homebase while exploring the westside of Ireland. Judith was very accommodating and helpful with any questions that I had during my stay. It is a short walk to some shopping and restaurants. With that said, I would recommend having your own transportation; however, I am not sure that its entirely necessary.

Room was clean and comfortable. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was very good. Desk staff and restaurant staff very attentive. Hotel is on the Shannon Airport property, so we walked to the terminal to get our flight. Despite the fact it is at the airport, we were not disturbed by noise.

This was a lovely hotel conveniently located near Shannon Airport. The rooms, the breakfast, and the parking were excellent. The pub attached to the hotel restaurant was surprisingly lively on the Saturday we were there (live music, etc.), and this was a real treat.
