It was a spacious one-bedroom apartment with a nice, clean kitchen and comfy living room with a convenient sofa bed that it is very convenient for having a separated sleeping place with a friend.

We visited the city on our last day before returning.
We visited the city on our last day before returning. It was surprisingly very enjoyable. Many small cafe's and shops to see, the old historical buildings were great. We would have loved to have done one or two of the sea boat trips but unfortunately time was a factor.

A pleasant place to feel the local vibes.
A pleasant place to feel the local vibes. People are very friendly and ready to help only almost no one speaks English 🙂.
Il Gabbiano Bar Gelateria has stolen our hearts) Very authentic, a good place to watch the local life. Cornetti con crema di limone were absolutely perfect. Try once and you will never forget them.

It is a cozy little town, but not exactly one that is full of tourists which may be a plus! There is a little old town nestled here and nice to walk around. The locals are very friendly but English is not well spoken. You'll need a translation app on hand all the time. I guess it's typical here that restaurants only open for lunch and dinner, except for some small cafes. Not a place for shopping for tourist, as i didn't even see souvenirs being sold anywhere!

I absolutely loved my time in Bitonto!
What stood out the most were the kind and welcoming people — always ready to help with anything I needed.
The city has such a warm and authentic vibe that made me feel at home right away.
I’m definitely coming back again, no doubt about it!

We actually stayed in the historical part of Bari & loved it near the water and lots of restaurants. We only came in by airport & left by airport in Bari Palese area. We traveled around to several destinations in Bari area for 10 days by bus & train with our 2 roller carry on's & a backpack each. Visited Alberobello, Matera & Leece. Our favorite was Bari historical I think; although Matera is pretty amazing too and Alberobello is an easy bus ride for an afternoon. Leece, I liked least.

Bitonto is the town of my ancestors.
Bitonto is the town of my ancestors. It was my first time in Italy, and I went to Bitonto to do research on my family. it’s a beautiful town with kind people, excellent food and historic buildings and churches. I was there for the procession of the Madonna, and it was very moving. Lots to do! Felt at home.

The self check-in was very complicated. The room had its own bathroom and balcony but share a corridor with a fridge with another 2 rooms. We received the wrong room.We booked a room with a double bed and a sofa and received a room with only a double bed.We asked the manager to book us for 6 AM shuttle for the airport and we were waiting in front of the building for more than 20 min and when the shuttle didn’t show up we just stopped a car and bagged fora ride to the airport that cost us 50 euros. We chose this lodging mainly for the reason it was listed with a shuttle to the airport. We wouldn’t recommend this place but if you’ll choose we wish you good luck.

The reservation through Booking.com in January 2022 was for a Best Western Hotel, which changed its name to HR in August. We were never informed of this change, which proved to be extremely frustrating. We were two tired travellers in a rental car without a GPS trying to find the hotel, despite numerous stops to ask people for directions. No wonder we (and others) were confused: the Best Western no longer existed. Poor communication on your part.

Not as full of tourists as Lecce and other popular tourist destinations. Pleasant architecture, not quite as rococo as Lecce. More of a local feel. Prices were very reasonable, people were friendly although few could speak English and there were excellent food shops where excellent Mozzarella and Pecorino could be purchased
