The restaurant was absolutely incredible and a total surprise. We stayed here because it was a good price for a simple accommodation near the airport for an early flight. We needed a meal and arrived to find a young chef working a small but brand new sparkling clean and very modern kitchen with a few tables. This man absolutely ASTONISHED us - the level of care and expertise he displayed when preparing our food was 10/10. He was a very sweet guy and he absolutely LOVED to cook. I am not exaggerating that after 9 days in Italy, the best pasta we had was right here, prepared lovingly by Fabio.

We loved that this property was close to the airport.. it was bright, clean and comfortable. Our room had a lovely deck which was a nice feature. The property has an arrangement with a taxi company which we used to travel back and forth to the airport and to Rome and back. They were awesome and very responsive. We also loved the breakfast facilities and snacks / coffee available throughout the day. The hosts (a family) were great and on-site throughout the day. They provided good recommendations for places to eat around the area.

We were in Ostia Antica Arcaelogical Park in the begin of the month and we got free tickets. If you want to explore all old city without haste, you need all day. We came at 08.30 a.m., but at 16.30 p.m. was necessary to go away. This old city is amazing. There is a lot good saved buildings and you can imagine very well how people lived, worked and enjoyed many, many years ago. You can touch and feel ancient Roman culture. I really recommend this location for visiting 😀

This is a relatively small, compact airport and the methods for moving travelers to their gates is good. Only slight negative is having to travel through a gauntlet of high-end stores without a means of avoiding a walk-through of their midst.

We loved the town - some great restaurants and some some good wine at reasonable prices. Watch out for the Rome taxi rip-offs and their basic 55 Euro charge for any distance. Be sure to take a Fiumicino taxi.

Ostia Antica Archaeologica Zone was Rome's key port for over 500 years.
It is far larger and more historically significant than Pompei but does not have the same level of preservation.
Allow three hours to see it well.
Take the Shuttle from the entrance to the far end and walk back with the Museum and Cafe as a place to recuperate half way.

From the moment we arrived our hosts were wonderful.
From the moment we arrived our hosts were wonderful. They came out immediately to greet us and took our heavy bags upstairs to our room. They offered us expresso and cookies. Our room was large and modern with all the amenities needed. When it was time to leave, we were waiting for our ride share to arrive and they were late. The inn owner came out to the sidewalk to check on us, and he even called the ride share provider on our behalf to check the status. The owners when above and beyond to make our stay comfortable.
