SambuRoom B&B offers accommodations in San Giovanni Teatino, 2.5 miles from Gabriele D'Annunzio House and 3.6 miles from Pescara Train Station. If you're flying into or from Pescara and need a place to stay - look no further. This is the place you are looking for. Everything we needed or expected was there. It was a luxury to be able to drop off our bags at the airport and then return to have breakfast. There are a few restaurants nearby as well as supermarkets. The public bus to and from the train station makes things very easy. That being said, I don't see a reason to stay he for multiple nights - the area around it doesn't really justify that. It's an airport hotel and it does that very very well.

Spoltore is a lively town with a beautiful historic town that is fun to explore. With a close to Pescara/Chieti amenities and beaches, and hilltop towns like Pianella, Loreto Aprutino and Penne, Spoltore is a great launching point.
We walked from Hotel Maja to Corso Vitorio Emanuele II (less than a mile, and a nice walk) which is a lovely pedestrianised area, full of delis and restaurants and there's also an indoor food market. We also walked to the old town which was pretty much shut up on a Tuesday morning in February - however, it was full of bars and clubs and I'm sure it must be a really vibrant place in the summer. We ate in a cafe/restaurant called Posa in Corso Vitorio Emanuele II - lovely staff and atmosphere and the best Tiramisu ever! Pescara beach is sandy and beautiful and has been designed with large rocky breaks to be safe for swimming and for youngsters to play in. I'm sure this is a hugely popular beach in the summer. In February it was just wonderfully quiet but enticing enough for us to take our shoes and socks off and to go for a bracing little paddle! We really enjoyed our stay in Pescara - I thoroughly recommend it. Oh, and Pescara is such an easy city to fly into from the UK - a tiny airport with free parking on the road outside for pick-ups.
A specious property, opposite the airport with helpful host, sufficient breakfast…just a total luck of hygiene. Dusty room, with a filthy rug on the floor along with extremely dirty leather headboard and a bathroom that had public hair at the bidet and previous guests hair on the top around basin.
I was initially very skeptical about Pescara, it' lacks the historical appeal that we all love about Italy, but it grew on me, it's a very walkable city, lost of wide pedestrian street, very nice beach promenade area, where you can bike, run, walk and have a delicious meal in one of the many Pescara' restaurants.
Needed an airport location on arrival. Have already booked another night for departure. Airport is literally 1 mile and there is parking at the property. Restaurants and Pizza shops are in walking distance. Most restaurants do not open in the evening until 6:30-7.
I had intended to stay in Pescara simply as a base city while I looked at property in smaller towns within Abruzzo region. Pescara is a port city and usually I find those cities ok but would not think of living there but Pescara is a gem. The pedestrian only zones were my favorite with many many restaurants, bars and cafes. It is a very walkable city and people for the most part are quite friendly.
