Vieste is really interesting and pretty old town and the people are friendly. Good standard of restaurants and not overpriced. There's a port where we hired a boat or you can get a boat trip. Some parts are very steep but worth walking up for the views. We stayed on the beach, a 25 min walk in along the beach but worth it or there's a bus for 2 euros p.p Would definitely recommend it :)Guest review byJonnyUnited Kingdom - 10.0

After spending 3 weeks in Puglia in late September and finding a lot of the cafes bars and restaurants frustratingly closed it was lovely to have a bustling city with beach. We spent a lot of time in the surrounds of the town too with water sports and saw lots of cyclists.Guest review byWalker - 10.0
Vieste is a great town.
Vieste is a great town. The old town is very lively at night and there are views galore from everywhere. There are several good restaurants in town. We ate at one near the port and one in the middle of the old town. It is well worth the trouble to get to the Gargano region of Puglia the scenery is spectacular. If you are interested in nature and hiking this is the place to be. We traveled in September, which was definitely off season, I'm sure it can get pretty crowded in the summer.Guest review bySchwarmichUnited States
