The staff was so very kind to us during our recent stay; they helped us each time we needed something despite the language barrier. Super close to the airport. Grand Cabin Hotel Naha Oroku is situated in Naha, 2.4 km from Senaga Kaichu Road Beach and 7.6 km from Tamaudun Mausoleum. Didn't realize this was a sort of kind of capsule hot with very small room, but it turned out just great. Room with bed was small, but much better ventilated than a capsule. Bed itself was very comfy. Came with spare pajamas, towel, tissues, slippers. Note that quiet hours start early from 7 PM in the rooms, so for any eating and socializing, go out to the big room. I worked while I was there, and the living room is 24 hours, with great Internet. Good for remote workers on the go. Not allowed to eat in the room, but there's a big shared eating and living room for everyone to use. Living room has small store with basics like chargers and instant ramen. Bathroom separate from shower room, lots of stalls and always very clean. Shower requires your key card to unlock, lots of showers there that were always very clean. Shampoo, conditioner, soap all provided. Location is ideal for an overnight stay if you have to overnight for a transfer in Naha. Just 1 stop on the monorail, then a short 5 min walk. Close to FamilyMart for all your basic needs. Also close to lots of food (mostly izakaya style, with 1 family restaurant).

There are a plethora of local restaurants and eateries within a few minutes walk including the famous Matsumoto restaurant. Naminoue Beach, while small, is very beautiful with turquoise waters and clean sand. Matsuyama Garden and Fukushuen Garden are very beautiful. It's a nice stroll to the famous Kokusai road with its many attractions.

I chose this hotel for my first stay in Okinawa Naha and it was a best choice. The room is new and clean, well-equipped with the kitchen amenities so we could stay comfortable. There are plenty of shops in the surroundings and it is convenient. It is a short walking distance to Kokusai Dori Street, easy to enjoy shopping. The lady at the front desk is beautiful and super kind. They provided many information of activities which was very helpful.

Room and private onsen was just amazing. Best sunset location. Room with tatami and open air bath with ocean view is big enough for four ppl (i just did 2 ppl) they even have a cloth for you to wear in and outside your room. BF was ok.

Naha is a great city, with lots of shops, bars and great...
Naha is a great city, with lots of shops, bars and great places to eat. But to see Okinawa you need to hire a car and get around the island. driving is easy and road rage does not exist!! There are too many amazing beaches and place to mention but I would recommend the Motobu and Nakjin areas with castles, beaches the aquarium. Also Kouri Island is worth a trip. I would also got to Miyagi Island area.

Read about the place before going. Mr Kinjo inn is close to the ashinabaa outlet mall where prices are scary! Near the mall are other shops and entertainment. Other than that maybe we have not explored the area that much because it felt like blah! January is rainy, it added to the gloominess of the area. We wished we were somewhere else. From there we went to okinawa world. Theme park with a long cave, cultural dance, snake show, and friendly staff.

Highly recommend spending a night or even going for a day...
Highly recommend spending a night or even going for a day trip to Tokashiki and/or Zamami. Clear blue waters and fantastic snorkelling. Booking the ferry night before or earlier is recommended as they do fill up. Naha is an excellent 'base', and hiring a car was an easy way to get around the island.

The hotel staff was very friendly! The location of the hotel is right next to Yui Rail Miebashi Station so very easily accessible from Naha Airport. The room itself was very clean but a bit less spacious than we had expected. We did not have any large pieces of luggage with us so it was OK but I can imagine if you have 2 pieces of large luggage it would be a bit cramped.

The hotel is located less than a 5 minute walk from Yui Rail Tsubogawa Station so it's easy to reach when arriving from Naha Airport.

We chose My Place because it's close in bus to Naminoue, Shuri Castle, and the Naha Airport, we walk only 10 min to the monorail and are literally in front of the sea and a port for a ferry. Also, super cheap.
