Hotels near Jeju International Airport - CJU, Jeju

Great place for a solo traveller planning to do a round island by driving. Roads are easy and traffic is pretty straightforward (even for a right hand drive person). Jeju has many different places to visit and you may find that 9 days is too long just for Jeju alone. But I found that 9 days was too short for a true round island, mainly because there are many many nature sites spread across the island and they're all top notch. Additionally, the drive times there are really long, not because the distance is great, but because of the speed limit (30km/h - Child Protection Zones a.k.a schools zones which are ever where to 50km/h - average of the road limits). This coupled with a speed camera every 100m makes the drive times long. Beautiful place to travel alone or with the family. But be prepared to arrive at your next location / hotel late if you over spend time at one place. My suggestion is to allocate more time at 1 location so you don't rush or compromise the rest of your tindery. And most important of all, RENT A CAR. This instantly unlocks the rest of Jeju for you where public transport can't cover (in an acceptable time frame). Its roughly 100$ SGD a day (5 seater sedan)and if you divide by 5 people it's extremely worth it. My full tank there (30L or 40L) was like 30000 (30$ - 35$) so its very cheap. FYI for my rental place, its 30$ per traffic / speed ticket. (I didn't get any but that was my market rate lol).

I enjoyed my stay a lot in Jeju city, but I should probably have chosen to stay in Seogwipo instead. Simply because of my interest in the things that are far from Jeju City. Personally, I would recommend getting an international drivers permit and rent a car to get around the Island. A lot of the things worth seeing is closer to Seogwipo, so my advice would be to either stay in Seogwipo, or rent a car. Apart from that, friendly locals and nice people.

Jeju is definitely a must visit place! It seems like paradise, with black sand beaches and volcanic cliffs, waterfalls temples, palaces and tea fields. Great if you love hiking, but also for a relaxing holiday. I hope to come back soon my dear Jeju! 🥹😍🍊

The list of great things in Jeju is long. JeJu city is cool and worth a day or two. Take the city bus tours - one does the city and the other cruises around the coastal parts of the town. It's a hop on and off situation. Then get across to Seogwipo - inexpensive bus from the airport - and bask in the joy of being in this magical seaside town. Give it a few days. The food is amazing everywhere and in this fishing town the seafood is simply amazing. A rental car is a plus at this point as many of the best places need some transportation - do the National Park and the lava tubes as well as some of the more remote beaches. On an island that has 16 million visitors a year it's hard-to-impossible to get into a truly remote beach but then again it's a chance to enjoy people watching in a beautiful place- Koreans do selfies and groupies better than anyone and they appear to absolutely love it.

Love the beautiful nature of the island, serene, people are friendly, buses are prompt and comfortable. Bus drivers are courteous and helpful. People at food places are nice. Food is delicious. Navigating is easy with Naver apps. Beautiful weather. I felt very relax.

Jeju Island is nothing short of amazing and beautiful. My time there felt like a dream, and the only regret I had was that my visit was too short to explore all that this stunning island has to offer. The experience and the feeling of being surrounded by such natural beauty and unique culture are truly one-of-a-kind. Every corner of Jeju Island seems to be a picturesque postcard waiting to be captured, from its lush landscapes to the breathtaking coastline. I was left in awe of the island's natural wonders, from the volcanic formations to the pristine beaches. The local culture and warmth of the people added an extra layer of charm to my trip. The island has a distinct character that is both inviting and captivating. As I left Jeju Island, I couldn't help but wish for an opportunity to return soon.
