My 93 yo mom and I overnighted after a 15 hour flight into Incheon Airport. Early the next morning, we flew out to Jeju via Gimpo Airport. This hotel was so convenient and comfortable. The staff was polite, efficient and welcoming. The room was clean and stocked with everything we needed. The beds were comfortably firm and the comforters were like big fluffy clouds.
At 6 am, we went down to G/F and were greeted by a young man (the security guard) who patiently walked us to the airport terminal connection that goes through the shopping mall. What a great design! When the mall is closed, hotel guests can still walk through to the airport. It must be very secure because many of the shops don’t even have a front door. As you walk through the closed mall, you can actually touch rows of socks and other products on display!
There is a Wowpass machine in the Lobby too.

Great apartment with cozy atmosphere. We stayed only for one night but it was very good. Elevator was a big plus since we had a few big suitcases.
My mom loved one of the snacks left for us and later bought it throughout the whole trip :)

All the restaurants and bar were supposed to be open till 9.00 PM. The first day I went at 8.15 PM and was told they were closed (all three restaurants). Next day I went at 7.20 PM and was seated but told they would close at 9.00 PM but I was repeatedly approached by the waiters and reminded to finish up as soon as possible. At 8.15 PM they started removing the dishes for the buffet. Room service- the food was delivered COLD!
Bad manners of the staff and absolutely pathetic! It's not a five star hotel by any stretch of the imagination. Closer to 2-3 starts.

It was a business trip - conference at the Songdo Convensia - otherwise I guess there was no other reason to visit Incheon. I did visit a few regional landmarks (temple and fort) which was nice, but it wouldn't have been possible without a car as public transport was not as efficient or convenient.

Vibrant city with lots of culture.
Vibrant city with lots of culture. There seems to be a lot of greenery close by and the colours of the trees are spectacular. Walking down from the Seoul Tower at sunset was beautiful as was the Olympic Park walk around the lake.
The fact that people wear traditional costumes to the palaces makes those visits special.
The night market in the centre should not be missed.
One feels safe in Seoul with respect an important feature.
The public transportation system is excellent once you get the hang of the local App.
Any language barriers can be resolved using modern translation tools

Out of the few capital cities I've visited, I found Seoul to likely be one of the most overrated (a slight bit above Paris maybe). The food is great, the subway network is fast, fairly priced and very convenient, but other than that there is very little that made me think that was worth coming. And while most of the people are about as nice as anywhere else, there are quite a number of pretty rude people or a number of situations where a sort of "me first" mentality shows up (queue skipping, rushing to seats in the subway...) and can be quite annoying depending on where you come from.

We checked in around midnight and unfortunately, didn’t have the option to change hotels. The room was supposed to be smoke-free, but it clearly wasn’t – it smelled heavily of cigarette smoke and made it hard to get a good night’s sleep. The bathroom had visible black mold behind the sink, although the toilet area itself was clean. The room was a decent size, but the floors didn’t feel clean – I’d recommend wearing slippers. For a budget hotel, I guess you get what you pay for, but I wouldn’t stay here again.
