The location of this homestay is the best part about it. It's a 2 minute walk from the park entrance while still giving you the feel of being outside of the park. They kept power on the whole time so we could still charge things throughout the day and keep the fans on all night. At nights the rooms cooled down and were comfortable. The bathrooms were shared but we were the only people here so it felt private.

The host Helena and Shania was supportive. The room had 3 single beds. Initially I thought it would be a dormitory type of stay. But they have multiple rooms. It is a budget homestay. They prepare dinner and lunch is you ask for. Prices are at par with Mulu park restaurant.

Nestled among the natural and lush greenery of the rainforests near the border between Malaysia and Brunei, Mulu Marriott Resort is located on Melinau Paku River in Miri. The staff were so nice. The bedroom was large, quiet, and very comfortable. Biggest breakfast selection I've ever seen, and food in general was top quality. Regular shuttle buses to the park/airport and return pickup. Very comfortable lounges for chilling out when not on tours.

Located in Mulu, Benarat Lodge has accommodations with a year-round outdoor pool, a garden and a shared lounge. At the lodge you'll find a restaurant serving Malaysian and Asian cuisine. Located by the river bank ( with a small jetty) , this property is picturesque. Views of the mountain is spectacular during sunrise. Loving the pool ( opens 24/7) , the cafeteria ( serves delicious food), the breakfast, and most of all excellent hospitality ( manager is very knowledgable about the surroundings, drivers are courteous and professional). Aside from airport transfers, property also provides transfers to the National Park. Coupled with the staff service level ( always above and beyond), this is a charming property with ‘delectable’ local experience.
