We had a pleasant stay at Palmas del Mar Resort. Location & Dining: One of the best aspects of this resort is its convenient location near the city. It was a huge plus when ordering food via Foodpanda, as we had a wide selection of restaurants to choose from. Amenities & Comfort: We really enjoyed the fact that we could swim after sunset. This allowed us to avoid the strong sun and made for a very relaxing experience. The staff were kind, and the accommodations (houses/cottages) felt cozy and comfortable. Important Note (A Potential Downside): A key thing to note is that cooking within the unit is prohibited. While ordering food was easy, we were required to pay a corkage fee even for the food delivered, which was an unexpected expense. Overall, a nice and cozy resort, especially if you prioritize easy access to city dining options and enjoy a late evening swim!

A nice place to stay.
A nice place to stay. People are polite and courteous. Foods are excellent in taste, presentation & good value for money. The best place we visited : DSB, too many coffee shops and other places that caters to very excellent food. Easy to go somewhere else within the city proper with the use of the app of Grab cars with affordable rates.

There is nothing to do in Bacolod.
There is nothing to do in Bacolod. Landers as a shopping experience was poor, S & R opens next week which may help. There are a few good restaurants Bobs, 51, and the Chinese. The Seda hotel is the best by a mile. The main SM centre is boring and unexciting. Perhaps fishing trips or sensibly priced visits to the hot springs if advertised would be an idea. The Golf course is flat and nice people there.

The house was huge, easily sleeps 10 people comfortably. The hosts where very friendly. The house is in a quiet safe location. There is an a gym 100 metres up the road. One of the best I have ever seen in the Philippines. Metro Supermarket is 10 minutes up the road with a market next door. The only thing I didn't like, the house was a little dirty in some areas. Could have been cleaned a little better. The air conditioner in the master bedroom didn't work properly and the microwave didn't work. But besides that the home was great. I will definitely stay here again when I come to Bacolod.

Though a small city, with the St Agustin Church & Plaza being the main attraction, the outskirts are beautiful and offer lot of things to do like in Silay, where beautiful Ancestral Heritage homes still stand after more than a century, as well as, very good food trip like El Ideal for their divine crispy thin piayas, guapple pie, and more. Pahanocoy is another outskirt that’s just a 20-minute public bus ride from SM Mall to organic farm FreshStart Organic & Natural where I had exquisite culinary experience in their Lanai Restaurant, 1 of 4, in its organic grounds. The owners & staff even made the time to welcome and visit with me and share their passion of sustainable organic farm to table dining experiences!!!! Likewise, they are spearheading reintroducing only the elite, 400 years ago could afford & taste, the most expensive Criollo Cacao in the world and have won golds in all it’s completions, locally n abroad as far as Paris, France, today!!!
