The room was clean and spacious. Bed and pillows very comfortable. What impressed me the most was the staff. Everyone was friendly, professional and helpful on every question we had. The facility is very clean. Breakfast was fabulous. I can’t remember the front desk clerk that checked me in or the bartenders name. They both were extremely helpful and so nice. I’ll be staying again. No one complaint. We walked where we needed to go. So that was an extra bonus for us.

Fantastic, convenient, practical location that was also private. Propane heater was so cozy and warm. Ceiling fan in bedroom is great. Main living area was spacious. Comfy couch and all basic needs were met.

This was such a wonderful and cozy farmhouse stay! The space has an authentic old New England farmhouse feel, but with plenty of room to spread out. The big kitchen and dining table were perfect for us. There were 2 very comfortable sitting rooms. I appreciated all the little extras—water bottles in the fridge, a a PUR filtered water dispenser, and even complete set of laundry supplies. The laundry machines were fantastic. It felt both homey and well thought out. Highly recommend if you enjoy farmhouse charm with modern comforts.

Athens is so pretty.
Athens is so pretty. We loved the beauty of being close to the University of Ga and enjoyed the youthful vibe. We really enjoyed the Butts-Mehre football museum. We also enjoyed the proximity to several delicious restaurants. We ate at the Pine and the Root. A varied and reasonably priced menu.
The tapas were really yummy and unusual.

We were in town for a College Basketball game.
We were in town for a College Basketball game. The campus was clean and busy. The city was hit or miss. We did not feel safe in the hotel neighborhood, The city seemed dark and unwelcoming. Law enforcement rarely seen, except directing game traffic.

I lived in Athens for 37 and just went back for a visit.
I lived in Athens for 37 and just went back for a visit. Athens is a wonderful place to live and to visit. There are top-notch restaurants, bars, parks, especially the State Botanical Gardens, and lots of cultural and sporting activities on and off campus and minimal traffic, except on game day (!). The University of Georgia campus is gorgeous and a beautiful place for a stroll to admire the grounds and the historic buildings. The downtown area is charming too with its restaurants, coffee shops, and stores. There are also lots of great options for vegans, but my favorite dish is the Vegan Clay Pot with maple smoked tofu and a delicious assortment of veggies at The Last Resort, served only for brunch on the weekends. It's the best dish I've ever eaten. Athens is definitely worth a visit if you happen to be in the area.
