We stayed in the Presidential Suite and the suite had an ocean view that was spectacular! Worth every dollar for the room upgrade! The dinner at the onsite Ox & Ocean restaurant was very good! Carson our server was very attentive during our meal. The entire resort staff was very friendly and helpful during our stay. We will definitely be back again!

I loved the location.
I loved the location. Right on the harbor and in a very quiet neighborhood. Our balcony faced the harbor side so we could sit there and watch the boats.
Didn't like the pay for parking but that's normal anymore.

The beach and pier looks well kept and a resturant/bait shop was there I only drove by there to look at the beach i would be nice when the weather warms up. There are several fast food places in the area and full service resturants in a 2 mile radius.

Yes, walk almost anywhere.
Sunset or sunrise walks on the beach or boardwalk. Walks out on the prier at moonlight. Private picnics. Very romantic setting. Only in paradise!!!

Getting to my cousin's house from our accommodations was...
Getting to my cousin's house from our accommodations was tricky. After a couple of days, the trip was not bad. Had to learn how to use round abouts.
Channel Island Shores National Park is small & very interesting. It does not take a lot of time to visit.
Wish we could have chartered a boat trip to the Channel Islands. We did not have enough time.
Next time I will fly to Oxnard & rent a car so I can spend more time at the beach.
Spudnut Donuts made the largest donuts I have ever seen. It took us 2 days to eat one.

People dont' consider this a tourist destination - but the Casa Via Mar is fantastic, and the hotel concierge recommended a restaurant in the marina (Masala Twist) that was delicious. Biking from Santa Barbara to Port Hueneme was beautiful every step of the way. Fresh strawberries bought at the side of the road were delicious.

Ventura is a charming coastal city with plenty to enjoy. Busy Bees is a great old-school diner, friendly, nostalgic, and serving hearty comfort food that never disappoints. The Ventura Botanical Garden is also pretty cool, offering peaceful trails and beautiful views that make it perfect for a relaxed afternoon. And you really can’t beat the sunsets at the pier; they’re absolutely stunning and capture everything that makes Ventura special. If you’re visiting with kids, Sky Zone is a fantastic spot for them to burn off energy and have a blast.
Overall, Ventura has a little bit of everything, making it a fun and inviting place to explore.

Close to restaurants and shopping . There’s no better place in the surrounding area . Awesome staff and always pleasant ! Had dinner and a cold beer at Cronies sports bar a couple miles away from the hotel , definitely worth checking out .

Oxnard is surprisingly friendly.
Oxnard is surprisingly friendly. I walked around the downtown each day. There is a lot of community spirit. Drivers seemed very aware of pedestrians. Most drivers nodded and waved to let me know they saw me at right turn intersections. I saw a couple of residents out picking up trash. The sidewalk was spotless. A kid on a skateboard also stopped to pick up a plastic bag on the sidewalk. Felt like a community that was proud of their city. They seemed to care about the environment. Storefronts all had flowers blooming. Transit is easy and affordable to all beaches and destinations.

Ventura is a laid back beach town with a pleasant walking path that goes for miles. Lots of quality restaurants and shops with a wide variety. It seemed like there was a vibrant nightlife with live music, but is also family friendly. Lots of options for activities like surfing, hiking, biking, shopping and fun events. We played mini-golf and it was super fun. There is a wonderful farmer’s market in Saturday morning. My favorite restaurants were Eric Erickson’s on the pier, Lure, and Rumfish and Vino.
