As part of our honeymoon trip, we intended to know Crete and chose Daios Cove for our stay. But the resort is so good that we didn’t got out of it. The room is spacious, modern and cosi. The pool and beach area and the views are wonderful. The restaurants are excellent, specially the Ocean, where we brightly closed our last night. Do recommend. Finally, the staff is impeccable.

One of the nicest resorts I’ve ever stayed at. The location was perfect right on the water with exceptional amenities. I originally booked a deluxe oceanfront room with an infinity pool but upon arrival the amazing staff upgraded us to a private villa with a private pool (1000/10) the staff were beyond exceptional and helpful in every way possible. The food in the restaurants was delicious! It’s about an hour from the Heraklion airport and about a 10min drive into town where it’s lovely to walk around the shops and restaurants along the water and easy to book excursions. We stayed for 6 days so we did explore the island as much as we could out to Samariá Gorge, Chania, Elafonisi Beach (pink sand) and the museums in Heraklion. The location, the food and the hospitality made this holiday in Crete a dream!

Maria also recommended a wonderful five-hour boat trip from Agios Nikolaos to Spinalonga Island, which included a delicious lunch and swimming—an unforgettable experience! Going all inclusive was incredible. There was a bit of a learning curve on how to get around (it is steep as it’s in the mountain side) and what menu items were included. After the first trip to the sea and one of the restaurants we had it down. Everyone was very helpful, especially Spirros who seemed to always be around!
