We tood the garden view room, it was incredible, well designed, spacious and had everything we needed (including a small balcony!) Amazing view from everywhere in the resort, food at breakfast was fresh, diverse, and tasty :)

One of the nicest resorts I’ve ever stayed at. The location was perfect right on the water with exceptional amenities. I originally booked a deluxe oceanfront room with an infinity pool but upon arrival the amazing staff upgraded us to a private villa with a private pool (1000/10) the staff were beyond exceptional and helpful in every way possible. The food in the restaurants was delicious! It’s about an hour from the Heraklion airport and about a 10min drive into town where it’s lovely to walk around the shops and restaurants along the water and easy to book excursions. We stayed for 6 days so we did explore the island as much as we could out to Samariá Gorge, Chania, Elafonisi Beach (pink sand) and the museums in Heraklion. The location, the food and the hospitality made this holiday in Crete a dream!

Maria and the entire hotel staff were exceptional! Maria went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and relaxing—she is truly one in a million, and we feel so blessed to have met her. The breakfast was outstanding, and the hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Maria also recommended a wonderful five-hour boat trip from Agios Nikolaos to Spinalonga Island, which included a delicious lunch and swimming—an unforgettable experience! This was the first hotel we stayed at in Greece, and what an amazing way to start our honeymoon. You will not regret booking a stay at Mare Hotel—highly recommend!

Aerobics Classes: I kept active with invigorating aerobics sessions that energized my day Live Music/Performances: The vibrant atmosphere of live music and performances added a special touch to my evenings. Cooking Classes: I joined a cooking class to learn new culinary skills and savor local flavours. Local Cultural Tours/Lessons: Exploring the local culture through guided tours and lessons provided a deeper understanding of the area's heritage. I'll be back next summer for more!

Fabulous hotel The staff were amazing from the moment we arrived Lovely food with an amazing breakfast. Everything you could possibly think of was on the menu Comfortable beds power showers etc The cocktail bar and food by the main pool was great It’s a shame it didn’t open in the evening Pool and Spa were really clean and had very comfy beds so much so that we really didn’t want to go anywhere I’m definitely going back
