Nestled on the pristine island of Thelu Veliga, located in the South Ari Atoll, approximately 56 mi southwest of the capital, Malé, Drift Thelu Veliga Retreat features of its own magnificent house... We treated my dad for his 80th birthday, so we were two couples. It was a great location and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. It was small island, which made it more intimate and friendly.

Featuring a shared lounge, Koimala Hotel features accommodations in Maamigili. It is a very welcoming stay with a nice dining terrace. They take care of their guests so much. Very friendly people. The food was delicious, it was so freshly and nicely cooked for us. We ordered the excursions as well. While snorkeling, we saw Manta Ray, dolphins, mini black riff sharks, and lots of different fish. Maamigili island is located 2 hours from Male, 110 km. With the good weather, it is nice to get there on a boat transfer, but if the weather gets windy and rainy, it would be better to fly back with the airplane. And of course, absolutely turquoise beach they have, a dream of Maldives. I love the water colors of Maldive islands. The Indian Ocean is so chill there. It allows you to swim safely and snorkel.
