I have stayed here quite a few times over the past and is always my first choice due to the comfort and location the apartments offer and I also love the May Chang shampoo/conditioner and handwash they supply and nice to see this hasn't changed over the years, also great to support local businesses.

Staff was so pleasant and helpful! They even gave us a ride to the start of the Kaikoura Peninsula trail. We hardly gave them any notice about wanting to go but they were so accommodating and wonderful! They gave us a lot of tips for activities and helped us make dinner reservations for restaurants that were quite hard to get on a weekend. Just top notch - we've stayed in 5 star luxury resorts and the level of personal touch and service at Shearwater was very comparable! Of course the room is an apartment but the view, the amenities, the personal touch is part of the charm!

It had all necessary amenities; the staff provided us with clear guidelines for after-hour check in; washing machine was available so you can do the laundry (perfect for a long-distance trip)

Great location, lovely large deck to sit and admire the view, very clean, nice comfortable bed, friendly staff.

Mantra Lake Tekapo apartments feature a private balcony or patio and a lounge room with a fireplace. Guests enjoy an outdoor pool and a hot tub overlooking the Southern Alps. Perfect upscale apartment within a short walk of town. Lovely, comfortable and had everything we needed. Receptionist was particularly kind, helpful, and informative.

Beautifully equipped, immaculate and very comfortable. Large appartment in a perfect location for walks into town and visiting thermal pools. Lovely, polite reception staff. Would highly recommend this for a family stay. We stayed for 2 nights- could easily have stayed longer.
