Absolutely fantastic apartment. We had 4 nights here, and loved every minute of it. Great facilities and felt so relaxed, just sitting outside listening to the birds and looking at those incredible views. Booking was easy, and communication with the hosts very clear. They left us some chocolates and water in the fridge, a very nice touch. You can walk down to the Grindelwald town in about 10-15 mins, though the walk back up is for fitter people, but that was known (it is the swiss alps after all). There is a bus stop just a 100m from the apartment, and a taxi from Grindelwald train station up to the apartment is c25 Euros. We were lucky enough to have a 3 week holiday in France, Switzerland and Finland / Sweden. and the 4 nights here were the best of all the holiday. Just book it

Chalet Ribi, apartment in Grindelwald

This apartment also includes a patio that doubles up as an outdoor dining area. This apartment is non-smoking and soundproof.

We came to Switzerland for our honeymoon and stayed at Chalet Ribi while we were in Grindelwald. Prior to arrival, the host was easy to talk with, responsive, and helpful. The space was clean, there was a separate bedroom, and the views from the balcony (onto the Metterberg peak, we think) were gorgeous. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. For example, I used the tea kettle and mugs every day. The water pressure in the bathroom was great and the water was hot. The bathroom floor was even somewhat heated and cozy. We came during the offseason, but Grindelwald was packed for some reason. We were pleasantly surprised that our building was quiet and peaceful. It felt isolated, in a good and safe way. The sauna on the balcony was incredible, especially after a long day of hiking. We loved the beautiful church bells, and on Sunday, they played for a full 15 minutes -- it was a magical sendoff! If you're looking for places to eat, please go to Hotel Alpenblick around the corner! We went there THREE TIMES during our stay, and it was cozy, delicious, and left out bodies feeling good. Get their soups, "Cocotte Alpenblick," and their warm chocolate tart. We also loved their seasonal menu -- they served a lot of local game. Around the area, we went hiking from the Pfingstegg gondola to Berghaus Bäregg, but the cablecar was not covered by the Jungfrau pass. First Mountain is nearby, and there are a lot of popular hikes up there -- we went to Bachalpsee Lakes -- but we LOVED the mountain carts and highly recommend. We also had an easy time taking the train and other cablecars to go hiking further away in other areas. Grindelwald was a good center, especially since we liked the town's personality better than Wengen's, Murren's, or Interlaken's. Overall, Chalet Ribi felt cozy and romantic and was perfect for us, both as an accommodation and as a center in Grindelwald.

A lovely place to stay with a fantastic view of the mountains from the living area/balcony. On a clear day you can also see the Grindelwald First platform from the back. Very peaceful spot. Clean & comfortable. Had all the essentials. My children loved that there was a box of Lego to play with - great idea! Easy free parking right outside. Perfect location for exploring the local area by car, a little far out of town to walk if you aren't travelling by car but there is a bus stop a couple of minutes down the road. Double bed on bottom/main floor, and another bedroom with 2 single beds upstairs. The stairs are steep and have unusual half-sized steps, so slightly awkward if not used to them - not a problem for us, we like experiencing different styles of houses, but something to be aware of for someone with even slight mobility issues. I didn't meet the host but they were very responsive and helpful via messaging on booking.com.

    I liked that it was walking distance from the center of the town and that the apartment was warm, it had pretty much everything we needed for a short stay. I have also appreciated that it had a parking place because we went there by car. The views are stunning of course :), it's Grindelwald.

    Magdalena was very friendly and accommodating to us, letting us use all of the facilities, borrow her sleds to take up the mountains etc. The apartment was one of the most beautiful places we've stayed in. Unreal views, perfect location, couldn't have asked for more. Will be staying here again!

    Picked up the keys from the lock box. The apartment is very close to the train station and also the bus terminal 👌 the apartment is so warm and cosy 😍 it’s a quite old fashioned in the flat but the location is fabulous and it’s very comfortable. The kitchen is very well kitted out 👌

    This apartment is perfect if you want a low-cost option to stay in Grindelwald. The apartment was clean and satisfactory for our 2 night stay with all the amenities needed to cook full meals. A Coop is only a few minutes walk which is ideal when you are self catering. There are great window views of the surrounding scenery whilst also being a very short walk to the center of Grindelwald. One bedroom is upstairs with a low ceiling, ideal for kids or adults who don't mind a tight squeeze.

    Owner has looked into all aspects of a family stay. My kids really enjoyed the books and games available in the flat. Apartment was very clean. Kitchen had all required stuffs. Bathroom was spacious. Owner also provided juice and cookies. We had great staying in this beautiful place.

    We were upgraded to an apartment on the 3rd Floor. Large with separate lounge and sofa. LARGE balcony acroos the entire apartment width with two separate doors opening on to it. FANTASTIC view directly at the mountains.
