The host met us at the property, even though our train journey had not gone to plan and we only arrived at midnight. So helpful and friendly! The rooms were exceptionally clean, very well furnished and included everything you could possibly need. The location is perfect; situated just behind the 'Rathaus' (Town Hall - a beautiful building) it is but a minute's walk to numerous restaurants, bars and the bustling town centre. We were there in mid August and there was a brilliant atmosphere in the town with weekend open-air music and more ice cream than you could possibly ever want. At night this historic German town becomes very quiet and tranquil.

The decoration was beautiful and fresh, we had absolutely everything we could need, the bed was extremely comfortable. Wifi worked without issues. Lots of light but also with great insonorization. Shower had great pressure. Location is perfect, merely 5 minutes walking from the center of lovely Wernigerode but in a very quiet neighborhood. Parking facilities are great, I would not recommend visiting the area without a car, Harz has so many beautiful villages to visit and things to do! Stefanie was a perfect host, kept in touch until we confirmed we arrived, left all imaginable brochures so we could consult activities in the area and even consulted for restaurants that were still open upon our arrival. We honestly could not be happier and cannot wait to go back (pity we only stayed 2 nights).

Set in a restored historic building, Ferienwohnung Altstadtnest Wernigerode is decorated in a modern rustic style, with solid wood furniture. Your living area features a flat-screen TV and a CD player, and the bathroom has a shower. Really lovely apartments. Perfect for a group of 7 of us, we had two apartments and was great to be together. We had originally planned for 10 of us to come but there would have still been plenty of room. Great location a short walk from town and very clean, big and comfortable apartments. We will be returning to wernigerode as we loved the town, it was our favourite location on our week long trip round Germany and we will certainly try and stop here again as it was perfect. The property owners were very quick to reply to questions and helpful throughout. In the town itself plenty to do and amazinrg countryside, the harz mountain railway is well worth the money. A very good stay and would recommend it.
