Not just before you arrive, but throughout the stay. I was in the flat 6 nights and got regular "everything ok?" messages - which is nice when there is obviously no reception. The apartment is very big indeed, it was very clean and well equipped. I liked having a washing machine, large clothes rack for drying clothes, iron snd cooker.
