They prepared a delicious breakfast, and in discussing it with them, we realised that they even prepare dinner for the apartment guests if necessary. We had a very comfortable 3-night stay. We had originally booked 2 nights, but when we saw the apartment and beautiful, peaceful surroundings, we immediately decided to add another night. Jon is a very hospitable, attentive host who is eager to share his knowledge of the area and attractions to visit. We so enjoyed meeting him and his wife. And the location of the apartment is ideal if you’re looking for a tranquil space that is still within easy reach of restaurants and shopping (15 minutes by car to Gernika). Highly recommend!

Puerto Viejo is steps away (literally) from the beach. Communication was fantastic with our hosts; they were responsive and easy to chat with. There are loads of restaurants and bars right out the front door. Well-equipped for those who prefer to cook in the great kitchen (yay, induction stoves)! It was an overall nice stay. 👌🏼
