The location is peaceful. And we heard no noise, from the hotel or from the road outside . It felt safe and a nice place to be, I wish we could have stayed longer.

The apartment itself was done to a very high standard and we really enjoyed our stay. There is a washing machine and tumble dryer which was great for us! Would definitely stay again ☺️

A recently renovated property, La vigie Malouine - Front de mer is located in Dunkerque near Plage de Marsouin et du Casino, LAAC Contemporary Art Museum and FRAC Contemporary Art Museum. It is set 3.4 km from Dunkerque Train Station and provides a lift. Guests can access the apartment via private entrance. This property is right on the boardwalk for the beach. The owner made the best of the view by putting the bed on a raised up platform. We loved relaxing on the bed taking in the incredible view. The apartment has everything you need for a comfortable stay and is impeccably clean. The owner is friendly and sends good, clear communication.

Host so responsive to request for extra towels and advise on bike rental. Managed to park during our stay outside apartment, which was ideal. Very clean and comfortable.

The property has an outdoor dining area. Few minutes walk from the beach. Easy access by bike. We stopped here for a night during our family bike trip from Oostende to Boulogne. This place is very close to the Eurovelo 4 (sometimes difficult to follow) cycle path along the coastline. The apartment is comfortable and decorated with taste. Communication with the owner was seamless. Many thanks!

Book it without second thought! The host Thierry is really helpful and accessible. Everything is just great with this apartment, it is close to the beach, well equipped kitchen. Keep in mind that stairs to the 2nd floor in the apartment is a bit steep but with our 2 little kids (4 years and 2 years old), it was not an issue. I also read that some people had difficulty for parking, we were lucky to park very close. It is all free on the street and plenty of parking, however it can indeed be busy during the weekends.

The kitchenette comes with a microwave, a fridge and a stovetop, as well as coffee machine and kettle. The accommodation is non-smoking. We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed our stay. Anne and Jean-Louis picked us up at the ferry terminal and took us for a short tour of Calis before taking us to the studio apartment. The tour was very much appreciated as it oriented us to the city. Upon arrival to the flat, our hosts showed us to the apartment and explained all the details of how things worked. It was a pleasant surprise to have wine and goodies as a welcome gift, thank you Anne! The suite is quite small, but very clean and had everything we needed for a couple nights stay. The fold out futon was comfortable for our length of stay. The location was perfectly situated; close to the beach and the free public transport was steps away from the building. We did use the bus to access some of the points of interest that Anne recommended and really enjoyed walking about. We also really appreciated that our hosts took the time to drive us to the train station the morning of our departure! These extra perks are not often offered by Airbnb hosts, and we have been to many. So we would definitely recommend this location to others.
