Beautiful part of the UK, and beautiful views from the cottages & garden. Lovely to wake up to birdsong, however only 9 miles from Carlisle and 3 from Brampton if you want to shop/visit. Talkin Tarn is 1.5 mile away and there is a circular walk around the Tarn of 4.3 miles, with a tea-room for refreshments. We took our 10 month old Border Collie who loved playing in the garden and the country walks in the surrounding area.
