The property features river and garden views, and is 33 km from Nagano Station. The apartment has family rooms. We travelled as a family of 9. From 84 to 7 years old. Green Bell suited us perfectly. Grandma was happy and safe in the downstairs bedroom and the kids were happy to bounce up and down the stairs. The Lodge was perfectly appointed with more than enough cosy bedding and pillows. The kitchen had every little thing we needed and we were toasty warm despite the heavy snow outside. It is obvious that great care has been taken in preparing the Lodge for guests and we consider ourselves very lucky to have found the Lodge in time for our holiday. The only caution is distance from the ski fields. It is not terribly far but a car is definitely necessary. Again, Green Bell, Lodge 4 was excellent. We only wished we had been able to stay longer…

What sets it apart is the heartfelt service, they made dinner reservations for me at a nearby izakaya (Hinoki) and drove me there to help order and settle me in, as the restaurant was busy (quite a few people were in town due to the annual Sado Long Ride 210 km cycling event), breakfast was delivered to my room Food & drinks. The owners were very friendly and nice, being from Singapore we were not used to the intensity of coldness in Nagaoka, and they brought for us an Aladdin heater. The place is clean, there were toys and books for my kids, the beds were very comfortable and we can find everything we need in the apartment.
