This recently renovated apartment is located 9 km from Maibara Station and 10 km from Green Park Santo. Guests staying at the apartment can make use of a terrace and open-air bath. Stayed there for a week but I feel like I can stay here forever. Firstly l, the staff is so polite and even though he couldn’t speak English he used a translator. The instructions are so well prepared so we can follow it to use the rice cooker and washing machine/dryer. The staff is very nice and moved us downstairs halfway through our stay so we stayed at both levels and it’s very clean. Level 2 is tatami room and it feels so nice to just laze around. Level 1 is wooden floor and feels bigger. Both levels are nice. We drove, so location is ok. Driving to everywhere around town takes about only 5-10 mins. If you have baby, they will prepare the crib / bed and special bin with wet wipe for your baby.

Highly recommended to stay here, but it is better to have a car, which we did, and it was easy to find the location with google map.

This is the cleanest guest house I have ever stayed in, and also the mutual communication of both the host, Yoshi & his wife Priyanka are amazing as communication is always excellent for English speaking and many other cultures. In fact the multi-cultural hub of Kyoto ( but just next door ) As I say, Otsu is like Belgrave in Melbourne, but instead of travelling through 31 stations, Otsu can be reached by only two stations, and nature and tradition awaits.

The house is clean and comfort. We hope to come back and visit it in future.

We enjoyed dining with the handmade pottery they've left in the apartment. In the morning, we were able to meet the potter, who was extremely friendly to us even though we do not speak Japanese. She even opened the studio a few minutes early for us because she saw us walking around. We bought a few items from the studio and will cherish them.

The neighborhood is quiet and very close to the Hikone Castle. The bath area was clean and there was all the amenities available.

The room is pretty spacious. And the neighborhood is quiet. Very close to the local famous kid's park by car. We wish we had stayed there longer to have more time exploring locally. The bed was comfortable too.
