Very tidy and clean apartment. Easy and quick communication with the host. Easy check in. Location is great - lots of restaurants and bars nearby (which is better to reserve in advance). There is an elevator in the house. Hosts provided us with helpful information on where to park our car for free in advance. The cleaning lady came once to clean the apartment and refresh the towels in our 5 days stay, which was great. Small present on arrival.

Spotlesly clean and comfortable apartment with separate bed- and bathrooms, close in the centre. Staff at Reception of the Hotel was very nice and attentive. We could ask take away breakfast for the day when we had to leave early, on the rest of the days we had our breakfast at the Farm Hotel (700 m away from the Brum), which is so nicely furnished. Breakfast is the same every day, but plenty and delicious. I missed a bit the choice of vegetables.

Boasting an outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre and views of sea, Alto do Forte is situated in Ponta Delgada, 16 km from Pico do Carvao. There is a spa and wellness centre comprised of a sauna, a hot tub and a hammam. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi, free private parking and an electric vehicle charging station. The apartment was very spacious and super clean, the kitchen is well equipped and the beds were comfortable. We've also enjoyed jakuzzi, sauna, and pool in the late evening.

Being in the middle of the Island, has the perfect location to go up and down during your stay in the island. Claudia, its owner, is the clear example of a true hostess. Attentive to every detail from the very first moment, she makes you feel at home. She has created a wonderful idyllic space, a complex of 6 apartments that offers you things that until now I had never found before, and everything free, at no added cost. A pool, a jacuzzi, a barbecue to use whenever you want and with everything you need without having to look for it on your own, two Washing machines and a dryer, a mini football field and beautiful views of a meadow where cows graze. On the complex there are also some animals which makes the day to the children. A parrot named Lara, few peacocks and some hens whose fresh eggs you can take and eat as many you wish. Each of the apartments is perfectly equipped but above all, full with everything you need on the first day. Water, coffee, tea, salt, sugar, oil, kitchen paper... it seems silly, but when you don't go to a hotel but to an apartment, having the minimum on the first day before you go to a supermarket, helps a lot. Claudia has only one employee, Nicole, who is in charge of cleaning your apartment whenever you want, and who is at the villa from 9 till 19 pm taking care that all is ok. As it couldn’t be other way, she is as kind as Claudia, always with an smile on her face and ready to help. During the eight days we spent there we felt the peace and quietness of a private place, as if it were our own home, only much bigger and with all the open beautiful spaces explained above. We practically felt as if we were alone. Without any doubt the best place we’ve been so far. Thank you

Joao was a very friendly, communicative and proactive host; we found some groceries placed in the apartment for our arrival; and he was very understand when something broke. The apartment itself is located very centrally, but the street is mostly quiet apart from occasional construction noise from the house across the street (which is bound to be temporary). There's a free parking lot 4mins' walk away which we always managed to get a space on with a bit of patience. The apartment kitchen has all the basics you need for cooking at home, and the living area is spacious and comfortable. I saw other reviews on other apartments mentioning cockroaches and mould - not an issue in this apartment! The humidity was very high in November when we were there, and that was felt in the apartment (our clothes didn't dry very well), but that's hardly something the host can fix, and there was no mould anywhere in the apartment. Overall, would recommend!
