This half-day tour begins with a bus tour through Florence’s surrounding countryside. The first stop will be in Fiesole, a beautiful town on a scenic height above Florence where you can enjoy panoramic city views. The tour continues along Viale dei Colli, a panoramic road, up to Piazzale Michelangelo. Here, you can take in the city views and views of the Arno river from high above.
Then, you’ll head towards the historic centre and visit the Accademia Gallery together with your guide. In this famous art museum you’ll have the chance to see Michelangelo’s David first hand among other masterpieces.
Next up is an exterior guided visit of San Lorenzo Church, which was the parish church of the Medici family. Your guide will then show you around the Cathedral complex where you’ll get to see the octagonal San Giovanni Baptistery with its bronze doors, the Cathedral with its tall Renaissance dome and Giotto’s Bell Tower.
