Traveling by electric bike is an incredibly fun and safe way to cover a lot of ground and take in some stunning views at the same time. While we do ask our guests to pedal a bit, it is the electric bike that does most all of the work. This allows us to soak up the beautiful scenery around us. We will also be visiting some areas that most tourist are not familiar with. And of course, we will learn a bit about Bend and the Deschutes River along the way!

You will enjoy a behind the scenes look at how this local award-winning chocolate maker creates their incredibly savory product. You’ll learn about how various beans from different regions of the world help make these chocolates and experience how the process works. Perhaps the highlight will be forming your own chocolate bar into a mold that will be packaged to take home with you. At the end, everyone will enjoy some wine or hot chocolate along with tasting their various samples. Join us for an epic subterranean adventure deep below the Earth’s surface! Bend is home to a vast amount of lava tube cave networks, that were formed thousands of years ago by volcanic activity. During our two hours underground in the darkest, quietest spot the Earth can provide, our naturalist guides will impart their vast knowledge of the region's geology while we adventure through this incredible cave system. Wanderlust Tours is the only guide company permitted in these lava caves. These caves are wild caves, meaning there is no paved path or lighting. Wanderlust Tours will outfit your group with helmets and headlamps. We also recommend wearing hiking boots or sturdy shoes to help navigate the uneven, rocky terrain as well as a fleece jacket and jeans as the caves stay at 45 degrees Fahrenheit year round! Our Moonlight & Starlight Canoe Tour is often regarded by both our guides and our guests as one of our best tours! As the sun sets behind the mighty Cascade Mountains, we will push out onto the water in our canoes. After some adventure and exploration, we will take a break to stargaze while enjoying a local craft beer or hot cocoa as well as a desert from a local bakery. After immersing ourselves in the peace and beauty of the night sky, we will begin our journey back to shore. During the adventure, our award winning naturalist guides will point out wildlife, impart age-old stories and myths mixed with astronomy, and also share the rich human and geologic history of Central Oregon! What makes this tour truly special is that we are typically the only people out on the water at night. Sitting peacefully on a perfectly still lake as the the stars shimmer above and reflect off the water - its a feeling that simply can't be understood through words on a screen.

Join us for a snow-filled adventure in the heart of the Deschutes National Forest! The cascade mountains that build Bend’s backdrop typically receive 400-600 inches of fluffy snow during the winter. With snowshoes on our feet, we will journey through an old-growth forest of hemlock and fir, splashing through powder and immersing ourselves in the winter wonderland of Central Oregon! During the adventure, your naturalist guide will highlight animal tracks we may come across, enliven you with stories of native history, and touch on the immense importance of a healthy snowpack to our local ecosystem. Snowshoeing is truly the best way to observe nature in the winter! Traveling on snowshoes, you will be able to get a glimpse of how the native wildlife in Central Oregon have adapted to the deep snow, perhaps stumbling upon the tracks of a fox or pine marten. Step into the shoes of a newly-minted detective, tasked by Commander Mahoney to solve a gripping case. murder on the streets of Bend. Throughout this crime-solving audio adventure, visit each of the 10 mapped locations. You'll have the option to explore the downtown area using the Walking Map or follow a Driving Map on the city's outskirts. Once you choose, the exact starting point will be revealed. *See images for route Park or stop at each location, listen to the audio story, and put your detective skills to the test by gathering clues and piecing together the evidence. Finally, make your deductions and issue an arrest warrant. Your overall detective skills will be evaluated, culminating in a Case Performance Score to measure your sleuthing prowess. This game is suitable for solo detectives, dynamic duos, or groups of mystery enthusiasts, offering an immersive audio tale filled with intrigue.

Private custom horse riding experience creates the perfect day for you. Small private groups 2 maximum guests over the age of 16 years must have one person over 18 years old. We will ride with one person so come alone or bring your friend.

Take a tour of the Deschutes River as it winds through and around the city of Bend, while riding your premium electric bikes. You will find yourself cruising along the river with your guide, enjoying the sights and sounds without breaking a sweat. Created as a 'best of' activity, by the time you finish, you will know a lot about Astoria! Our hunts are self paced. Participants can make it a friendly competition among themselves or take a relaxed approach. This is your activity, and you can do whichever you like!

This is the one and only Original Alpaca Picnic Experience. While shooting for Quechua Benefit, a nonprofit supporting economic benefits for underserved communities in the Peruvian highlands, professional travel, nature & humanitarian photographer Wasim Muklashy met Amanda Vandenbosch, one of the world's premiere alpaca breeders & Peru-trained alpaca judges. That encounter blossomed into a friendship which led to his living & working at Flying Dutchman Alpacas, Amanda's family farm in Bend, OR during part of the pandemic year. Taking their morning coffee & lunch in the alpaca pasture was pure therapy & they both realized that if these floofs were therapeutic to them, they'd be therapeutic to ALL. So here they are, offering an experience with a group of floofs guaranteed to put smiles on the faces of those in the foulest of moods. There is no other activity that will give you this level of time, experience, education and interaction with the magical creatures that are the alpaca.
