Everything a guesthouse should be. Welcoming with comfortable common spaces, but private rooms. The women who run it are also wonderful. So helpful and patient. I wasn’t in The Gambia for long, but they made my stay wonderful. They helped me figure out the logistics of things like getting a bus ticket and how much a ride to Banjul should cost (about $5 USD, 300 dalasi). The facilities (kitchen, bathroom) are simple, but everything works well and is clean. It’s like staying at my mom’s house, but with friends. The location is also great. It’s a quiet neighborhood, but an easy walk to Kachikally (the crocodiles), the beach, food, nightlife, and a small market. Taxis on the main road are plentiful to take you into Banjul, out to the monkey park, or anywhere else you want to go.

A lovely place to stay. Clinton. Charlie and staff are amazing. Only a 10 minute walk to beach shops and restaurants. Rooms cleaned daily. Felt very secure in accomodation. Nice quiet pool area.

By far the best place I've stayed in in the Gambia. The owner, Claudette is great, and so are the staff. Everyone was very friendly and extremely helpful. The location is perfect if, like me, you don't like resorts and want a bit of interaction with the local people. It's a residential area, far from the touts, but close enough to walk to the beach or the better restaurants. The room is great, with a well accommodated kitchen and a fridge, hot water always running, nicely decorated and a wonderful sitting area. There's also a shop that sells locally made products, like honey, yogurt and shea butter. Profits go to their organization that helps to cure burns on children. Absolutely recommended!
