Beach rentals in San Marcos La Laguna

The location, the access to the lake and the whole amenities in the apartment make our stay like home. The smell in the bathroom was a plus, with natural herbs.

I checked out a couple of other places before deciding to stay at Casa Llemo because of the welcoming atmosphere from the first moment and I'm so glad I did. Julio and his family go out of their way to make you feel at home and make sure you get everything you need, but they always give you enough privacy as well. The rooms are clean, the water is hot and the meals are home cooked, delicious and cheap. They can also book different tours and shuttle for you and often have better connections or prices than what you find on the internet. Julio's hospitality went even beyond my stay. I had already left when a shuttle I had booked online canceled last minute. Because he had mentioned an alternative company to me before I called him pretty late, and even though I woke him up, he was so helpful and managed to book a shuttle for me and save my trip! Thank you! I wish I could have stayed a bit longer.

Amazing view of the lake, safe (albeit lively - bring ear plugs) neighborhood, very well equipped apartment with fully stocked kitchen (even had oil and salt), extremely clean and comfortable bed and mattresses, very convenient location that was walking distance to the piers, restaurants, and tour agencies/hotels that you can book activities with. The host was very kind and polite, and recommended very well priced food, transportation and tour options. The host was also accommodating in allowing the guest to leave luggage in the apartment before and after check in and check out times.

Phenomenal experience: nature, beautiful views, comfortable, clean, great internet! We stayed 2 months at Richard's place. It's a big property on a hill next to Lake Atitlan across from Santiago. You can only reach it by boat, so Richard brings you across the lake. The house is clean and well maintained, hot water works perfectly, kitchen has everything for cooking (we cooked a lot!). Mattresses are comfy, the main bed is huge! Lots of closet and storage space. Surrounded by huge trees, tropical plants and flowers, it's like living in a botanical garden. There are no streets or cars, so it's totally quiet, you only hear wind in the trees, squirrels running, and birds singing. Through the trees you see Lake Atitlan and two huge volcanoes. We had breakfast every morning on the sunny terrace. The house is up the hill on a beautiful winding stone path. You have great views, but also privacy because the trees block boats on the lake from seeing you. The wifi is great, which is incredible in a jungle with no roads! Reliable 10Mbps down/3 up, which was fine for our Teams video meetings. Better than most Atitlan hotels where we stayed, actually. Richard is a truly kind gentleman, attentive to every detail to make our stay comfortable. He does wood working, so the house has lots of handmade furniture, and he gardens, so we got lots of fresh food. A local man, Salvador, and his two sons maintain the property beautifully. They taught us about the nature, showed us centuries-old Mayan carvings hidden in the surrounding jungle, and even taught us some Tsutujil language to use in the market. We went to stores in Santiago for shopping, and for fresh food went to the city's central market (amazing cultural experience, few foreigners, almost everyone wears traditional clothes). Overall, an incredible experience!

Wonderful, spacious, green property. Two comfortable bedrooms with queen-size beds, a large shower and bathroom, a lovely outdoor kitchen and dining area, and a deck with a view of the lake and volcano. Easy access to the lake with a dock for public and private boat access. A 10-minute walk to town. Great hosts, and they rent out kayaks, too.

The gardens surrounding this place are incredible. Additionally, the location is perfect. Close enough to walk to a couple places, but far enough to be quiet. Close by boat to Pana, but not noisy. Easy to catch a boat to other destinations.

I sayed there for a week while studying Spanish. Enly is a great host and is very friendly and attentive. The rooms are set back off the street keeping the street noise to a minimum. The location is perfect, located half-way between the center and the lake. The rooms are large and bright and I found the bed quite comfortable. Free parking is also great and very rare to find in San Pedro. Another plus is that there's a great ramen restaurant accros the street ran by a Japanese expat.
