We stayed here on our first night in Iceland and it was perfect. The couple who run the place could not be nicer, what a nice welcome. The shared living area and kitchen feel just like home, and the fridge was even stocked with a few things for breakfast. Before taking off in the morning we took a nice walk to the lighthouse and climbed it, what a treat.

We had a wonderful stay at Ragna’s Apartment in Reykjavík! The space was quaint, warm, and surprisingly spacious—so much more comfortable than we expected. The location was ideal for exploring the city, especially during the Independence Day festivities. We loved being able to walk to so many beautiful sites, cafés, and public art spots with ease. A huge thank you to Kristi, our kind and incredibly responsive host. She made check-in seamless—letting us arrive early, which made all the difference after a long journey. One unexpected joy: no TV! It helped us fully unplug, slow down, and enjoy the rhythm of Reykjavík life. We also appreciated the helpful signage about the sulfur-scented hot water (no problem at all!), and we were so grateful for the well-stocked kitchen—cooking at home was a great way to balance the cost of eating out. If Kristi and Ragna’s Apartment will have us again, we’d return in a heartbeat. Takk fyrir for a memorable stay!
