"A Perfect Stay at Fare Mirimiri!" We had a wonderful stay at Fare Mirimiri. Perched on a hillside with breathtaking views, this guesthouse offers the perfect setting to relax and soak in the beauty of Raiatea. We arrived at the Apooiti Marina in Raiatea after a week of sailing, we were of course expecting to wait a few minutes, but Cathy, the owner, was already there to meet us. From the moment we got in the car, she made us feel very welcome. When we arrived at the guesthouse, we felt like we were in paradise. The house, surrounded by nature, is tucked away on a hill with breathtaking views. Every room offers a spectacular view. Cathy was simply amazing. Her kindness and generosity made our stay truly special. We arrived just before sunset, and I thought it would be nice to have an apero on the balcony and enjoy the view, but of course, we didn’t have anything to drink. I asked Cathy if we could perhaps buy a beer from her, but she didn’t think she had any. BUT a few minutes later she came back and gave us two beers. This is what I mean by generosity! The house was spotless and had all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. If you're looking for a peaceful place with a welcoming atmosphere and stunning scenery, Fare Mirimiri is the ideal spot. We would go back in a heartbeat!

Can't say enough good things. Johnny was an amazing host and this spot is right on the water with a beautiful view of Huahine. There are kayaks you can use to paddle over to the small island or upriver. I loved meeting Johnny's sweet mum and this is really a way to experience life in Ra'iatea. Johnny gave me a custom tour of the island. Bring mosquito repellent, as they are plentiful on the island. A net was provided, so I slept well.

Location: it is right on the water, and in the far distance, you can see the area where the Marae Taputapuatea is located. There is a canoe available to use (2 adults) for free. There is an island you can paddle out to but we didn't do that because of a lack of time. You can swim in the water in front of the accommodation. The dining and kitchen area face out over the water - great for watching the sun set. The owner contacted a tour company late on a Saturday so that my family could visit Tahaa for the day. The company sent a taxi to pick/drop us off. You can wash your clothes (user pays), and hang them out on a line in the car porch at the side of the accommodation. If you were fit, you could walk to the local food store. We hired a car from Raiatea, so shopped in the main part of town. Ask if you can try some of the fruit on the trees of the accommodation - I wish we had! The hosts were very friendly. Nice lounge area. Excellent information sent out about how to locate the accommodation: professionally done. The owners don't tend to the money (outside agency does..and they were very accommodating). You can lock a room but not the accommodation. (I'm too much of a town person so think about that stuff). The accommodation is about an hour's trip to the marae Taputapuatea, the area also has opening hours for the parking area; remember you can't walk on the stone structures. Nice lounge area. The location on the lagoon was amazing. We really appreciated being able to borrow the two kayaks, and snorkel from practically the back door. The host was very responsive. The location was convenient and easy to find. The host has a very well behaved dog, and a friendly cat who would stop by for a visit. I said it once, but I will say it again, the location on the lagoon was amazing.
