We had a great stay at Somphoch Garden! My partner and I ended up staying for two weeks, and they let us move into the upstairs room after a few days, which was really nice. Overall, it was an excellent stay. Our hosts were wonderful and helped us with everything we needed -- laundry, organizing a scooter rental, and even helping us arrange a taxi back to Bangkok. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. It was great having a balcony in the upstairs room too. There is a restaurant on site. If you're not coming with a car/scooter of your own, just be aware that you may have trouble getting a taxi in that direction from the ferry. The taxis will try to charge you an insane amount because everyone else is typically going to the west side of the island. But once you get there, and once you have a car/scooter to get around, it's a fantastic location. There's a couple little shops and restaurants nearby, and we went on some really fun adventures around the island. The main town on the west side is less than a 20-minute drive too so we often went into town for dinner or to go to the big grocery store during our stay. We loved having stand-up paddle boards to use throughout our visit, and I think the treehouse platform and the swing were some of my favorite things about the place too! Overall, a really great stay.

First of all the owners are very friendly and helpful in any case. The property and the rooms are very clean, comfortable and well equipped (more cooking tools and kitchenware than standard etc.) with more than what you actually would expect. As we saw all rooms have an amazing sea and pool view from. They also have a lovely bar at the pool which has a great atmosphere as the owners serve the guests and it was nice to have a chat with them while enjoying amazing cocktails. Late night it was really quiet and peaceful. Two pools which are very clean and what we saw they clean it daily and also use a robot to do so.

Beautiful view, amazing rooftop terrace with BBQ and Jacuzzi. The beds were so comfortable. The host was very nice and helpful. Staff in the hotel was very nice as well and the food was great there.

This property is well kept as the proprietor is directly involved in the maintenance and upkeep. Everything is very clean. The pool is nice and suitable for children also. There is a nice dining and kitchen area on site across the road is a sitting area, next to a sandy and Rocky Beach, to enjoy sunrises and sunsets. I picked this location because it’s only 10 km to the northern ferry so was able to leave early and get on the less crowded early ferry back to the mainland. The rooms are far away from the road so you don’t hear any road noise. Stairs, so not good for ADA accessibility

The villas are on the quiet side of the island. The beach is rather rocky for the most part although there are stretches of sand. There are two waterfalls within a short drive, also on the east side. We also booked a boat for snorkling and fishing at the end of the east road. Had a great day.
