We had an incredible stay at Chunga Changa! Although we were only there for one night, it was truly unforgettable. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the food. Every dish we tried was delicious, beautifully presented, and full of unique flavors. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, Mr Kitipu the manager is a gem making sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The ambiance of the place was perfect for a relaxing getaway. We highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Zanzibar!

The breakfast was plentiful, a buffet and you can order from the menu as well. The food in the restaurant was delicious! Had an incredible seafood risotto. This place is magical, artistically decorated, beautiful rooms & right on the gorgeous beach. The staff was so kind and accommodating. Francesco made sure I had everything I needed. Zanzibar House was a true oasis of peace & relaxation.

I loved everything about Matemwe Ocean View Villas! I love how remote from all the zanzibar tourist attraction noise it is. It’s perfectly quiet, serene and beautiful. I felt like I could truly breathe here. Laucin a the absolute legend of a host. He shared his Moroccan food with me from his family and the food portion sizes were HUGE and DELICIOUS! Nowhere else compares in zanzibar for us. We even cancelled a reservation to stay an extra night and our only regret is choosing to go somewhere else for our last 2 nights. Next time, we’ll have our entire stay here. My favourite part was swimming in the pool under nothing but the moonlight and stars above us. It was absolutely amazing. My husband and I enjoyed so much that we barely took photos!

Perfect vacation accommodation, designed in the style of Zanzibar, located right on the coast with a beautiful beach. The room is spacious, with the option of using air conditioning and fans, and has a lovely terrace. There's a beautifully landscaped yard with a pool (which is realistically unnecessary when you have the sea) and a large terrace on the adjacent building where you can stay and dine. Food si great and the prices are acceptable. Communication with the owner was excellent; they offered and organized some local activities, car rental, and a visit to a nearby school. A special commendation goes to the staff who were more than excellent.

We stayed at Villa Tulia as a group of 6 and had an absolutely amazing experience. The villa is stunning, very clean, and comes with great amenities. What truly made our stay special was the incredible staff – Paul, the always-helpful property manager, the resident chef who prepared delicious meals, the housekeepers, security team, and gardeners – everyone was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of. Every morning we were treated to a fantastic breakfast with a wide variety of fresh options, which we looked forward to daily. The villa is perfect if you're looking for privacy and peace – it has direct access to the beach, and most days it felt like we had the entire shore to ourselves, free from vendors or crowds. We also felt very safe, with round-the-clock security. The beach is ideal for long walks, morning swims, or stargazing at night – truly magical. There's also a small kitchen available if you ever feel like cooking. Also worth mentioning is Sam, the villa’s recommended driver, who was amazing and stayed with us throughout our entire trip. He was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and enriched our rides with fascinating insights about Zanzibar. He also helped us organize excursions and day trips, making everything smooth and enjoyable. If you're looking for a quiet, luxurious, and private stay in Zanzibar with top-notch service, Villa Tulia is the place to go. We can’t thank the whole team enough – we had an unforgettable stay and would return in a heartbeat!

The property was at an excellent location and Roxana, the host was super flexible and helpful. She advised us on many many things from the airport transfer to arranging tours and restaurants to visit as well. Even though breakfast was the same every day (toast, eggs, fruit salad) it was always substantial and tasty. The beach is very close with lots of places (hotels, restaurants) to visit and even spend the day at. There is a dog and a cat at the property both being extremely friendly as well. We would certainly go back here if we were to visit Zanzibar again!
